This is more a neutral recommendation It took me about 1,5 hours to get 100% The paid DLC is required for full completion. After finishing the story, I automatically unlocked all the missing achievements. I’m not sure if this is intentional or a bug. You play as a demon who has lost his memory after being summoned by a witch. It turns out you’re special because you can control some sort of rune magic, and you set off on a journey to find a goddess who can help you discover who you are. Along the way, nearly every girl you encounter ends up falling for you. While there’s a somewhat cohesive storyline running throughout, the encounters with the girls feel disjointed and lack depth. The gameplay consists of collecting 100 points by running an orb in circles. It’s incredibly basic, so much so that, for more than half the game, you can brute force your way through without much thought or strategy. Still, it’s slightly more engaging than standard puzzle mechanics. The translation is poor, with several misspellings, and one segment of text wasn’t even translated. The artwork and CGs are decent, but not all of them are animated, which feels inconsistent. The current highest discount is 60%, and at that price, I could recommend the game despite its flaws. A easy spinner dodge game where you spin the orb without hitting other orbs. Easy to complete with 10 Levels. Artwork is decent and Definitely Recommended!!!

Listen, I downloaded this game thinking, “Eh, I’ll just check it out, no big deal.” Fast forward two weeks, and I’m down bad, emotionally invested in a 2D waifu who doesn’t even know I exist, and my credit card is one bad decision away from financial ruin. These games start off innocent—just some fun combat, cool mechanics, maybe a little "plot." Then boom, suddenly I need that new limited-time SSR waifu with jiggle physics that defy the laws of nature. The gacha rates are criminal, but here I am, justifying another 10-pull like a gambling addict in Vegas. “This time for sure,” I tell myself, as I get nothing but 3-star disappointment and existential dread. But the worst part? I love it. The dopamine hits, the flashy ultimates, the fan service—it’s an endless cycle of suffering that I refuse to escape. My soul is owned by an anime girl now, and I have no regrets. 10/10, would ruin my savings for pixelated thighs again.

Pretty mediocre. The gameplay is sort of fun, it's original at least and was engaging enough for me to finish the game. It has a story but it's not that amazing. The scenes are lackluster too, imo. The art is alright but not the greatest. The music is repetitive. The store point emotes are kind of ugly unlike those from other games in the bundle. Won't recommend getting this standalone, but as part of bundle it's okay.

Great value. In a market flooded with lazy asset-flip 'adult puzzle games'--hoping to trick you into just taking a risk based on minimal pricing--it's extremely refreshing to uncover quality budget titles like "Rune Girl" here. You'll find all the tempted allure of those releases, but here with a genuine effort across all aspects: from puzzling, to animation, to story, to voiced content (not English but still nice and subtitles obviously). There's a genuine story arc linking each of the puzzles/gallery unlocks, and that is always a welcome addition for a subset genre that seldom bothers justifying its existence beyond "look boobs". Here the 'puzzle' aspect is, as expected, rather simple, though still enjoyable beyond the common match-3 or literal puzzles of static images, often plagiarized despite such bland simplicity. In "Rune Girl" you essentially charge up an point meter as a ball rotating around a circle. The circle's origin point often releases burst of energy; colliding with them lowers your life bar. You've got to avoid these pulses by timing your movement with the left-mouse button to speed up or with your right-click weapon meter to disperse the active pulses. Once you've circled enough to get 100 points, more nudity on your way to unlocking all the characters. As with everything, there is some room for improvement though. It seems there were achievement bugs, however I just finished them all successfully so that might be a null factor. The biggest issue left is no apparent way to reset each character's story-line to play-though again without deleting your whole game save to start everything over. It also seems to be missing the usual auto-play and text speed, though there is an option to skip through story segments. Nevertheless, the game goes above and beyond all expectations. It's fun, well drawn, and filled with a nice variety of characters at minimal cost for a pretty great value. "Rune Girl" is fantastic reminder that genre/premise/pricing aren't the determinants of quality or worthy attention. There are still real gems like Rune Girl to find burred under Steam's "anything goes" market of cash-grab garbage releases... they're just a bit harder to track down these days.
