I don't usually like match-three games, but this one was fun. It has an interesting timer-like play mechanic, and a theme of fighting monsters in a dungeon. What makes it better than a plain match-three is the added layer of increasing your "skills" and "equipment" so that you are more effective in fighting the monsters and your score increases. Of course, as you improve and get to higher levels, the "monsters" you fight also get tougher. Making different items in the grid give cause different effects is a nice variation on the theme. The only downside: After you max out all your properties, there is no goal except to just hit that magic ten million score, and the game becomes very much luck-dependent. You will probably have to keep playing for a while until you (a) figure out the right combo of booster potions, and (b) just get lucky with the tiles falling just the right way to hit the high score. It's a short-term game, chances are once you have completed it once, there won't be much value in replaying it, but it's inexpensive and fun for a while.
I slept on this game for way too long! I randomly decided to try it after searching for a new match 3 game to play, and wow am I glad I did. It definitely scratches the itch. I will say though that I really enjoy the mobile version of this game, just because of how easy using your thumb is to swipe. Either way. It's addictive and challenging. Two thumbs up.
