Hi. I appreciate what the game is trying to do but theres a lot of little problems that add up to me not wanting to play anymore. I hope this reaches you since i didnt want to leave a negative review so NEUTRAL IT IS Dialogue It constantly gets cutout since i have to choose between being delayed or stopping to read it, since you cant while doing stuff really and it cuts when you process drivers. I end up pressing the log button and reading it all at once before finishing transactions, there has to be a better UX way to make it readable while focusing on being efficient with time. The perspective I undestrand you want to make a more human, more personalized take on Papers Please but the game screen has NO PLACE TO PUT THE RULEBOOK. The lower part where we handle the money, when it pops up, covers so much it should be a tip that too much is going on on the gamescreen so there really isnt any good empty place to put the stuff the game needs to function. I wish the toll booth was shown from a more 2d perspective, fully paralel to the cars so the left side of the screen is our character and the driver/car and the right is empty space for the rules and interface. Papers Please didnt have a lot of space not dedicated to the people just as a budget constraint, the dev knew we needed places to put all the stuff the game needs to work without feeling like are a covering stuff The drivers behaviour They behave like they are procedural dummies rather than people many times So many times they give me a fake bill among a bunch of them... While the amount of money without the fake already covers or exceeds the toll. So when i ask them to tqke their fake bill back they say 'I dont have enough' YOU DO you didnt even need to slip me the fake! But then if you give them the change wrong, they know! So they do know the amount so why hand me this weird mishmash of bills and then say you cant cover it if you know how much it is?? Its VERY irrational Their repetitive generic dialogue and our characters response when denying them also feels super stiff. On the other end of the pendulum, i feel like very quickly the game started trying to show conflict in a way that felt maudlin like 'oh, do you feel sad yet you had to deny them" like the woman with the son in the hospital who immeditely show us to crash out at me the next day. or people who try and tell me too much about their lives. Id try to be more subtle with the writing, it comes across as trying too hard too quick to make me 'feel' I hope they can come up with a better way to put our rulebook on screen and fix the npcs illogical behaviour, maybe give them some more lines

Thanks to dumbass 02 voter on general election 2024 who support nepobaby narcotics addict and war criminal just because the dancing campaign, i as indonesian experience and understand the story told on this game RIGHT NOW. The civil unrest is 10/10 realistic experience even on this day and age. just got 1 ending and will get more, one thing i should say this game has the guts to bring such a theme.. i just felt a little confused because there were too many features coming each day, like bro we got new feature each day? it made me got a lot of penalty.. and you know what's the best feature in this game? yes, the diary. i wrote "Adili Jkw" every time i got the diary scene in the end i still recommend you guys to give it a try, just buy it on sale and you're good to go

Honestly, this thing is a lovely work of art. It smartly uses the game's setting to dig into the heavy, real-world issues Indonesia was dealing with in the 90s. It hits you hard, the writing is sharp, and it looks incredible. Seriously, another total banger from GameChanger! An absolute must-play.
