Played this game with my girlfriend. The game is a bit easy to predict but overall it is good and simple game that does not take too much time to complete. Always fun to play some hidden objects from time to time.

If you like click-and-point or hidden object games, you'll enjoy this! The only technical difficulties I had were 1) game froze at the beginning when I met Black 2) some of the hidden object puzzles didn't recognize that I was clicking on the object until I clicked on a different part of it 3) the tile puzzle towards the end seemed bugged out and wouldn't let me put the final tile down until I spam right- and left-clicked on it. I enjoyed the story, but it doesn't look like they have the second one on steam, if a sequel even exists. I do recommend, but I picked it up on sale and think you should do that same.

9 Clues: The Secret of Serpent Creek is another point and click game released by Artifex Mundi, and I must say I had a lot of fun with it! First of all, I thought the game's characters looked a bit wonky at first, with their weird teeth and eyes, but as I got into the game I realised the game and history was awesome! Even though the game was trivial, the story was really exciting, maybe even a little bit scary. To avoid telling to much, I recommend this game. Note to self: You, the detective is in Snake Creek to look for your missing friend, who is a reporter for a magazine. Even at first glance, and just a minute into the game you feel something is off and not right.

9 Clues: The Secret of the Serpent Creek was a game published by Artifex Mundi back in 2013. If you count from the year I played this minus its origin, the span is 11 years. This game has been out for 11 years and still delivered beyond its capabilities. The story felt very simple but the voice acting was phenomenal, specially for the main characters. I believe this is what painted the story in such fascinating light. The accents in the voice acting brought its characters to life. There is really not much to mention that stood out from the game besides the voice-acting and a small design change for dialogues. This design change is the dialogue with the NPCs: they come in square chat bubbles, not the usual upper subtitle. This change felt like a breath of fresh air, even for a game from 11 years ago. A 100% run in one playthrough is feasible as well, but keep in mind that small errors may cause your run and not getting to 100% achievements. This happened to me but I managed to run another playthrough to fulfill the minor errors. I ended up with only a little over two hours for full completion (in consideration of having no side stories for this game), two full hours if you simply count without the 100% completion. For a two-hour playthrough of the game, it is a good piece of nostalgia for throwback. I would definitely recommend this game, rating it a defined 7.5/10 .

One of my favourite Artifex Mundi distributed games. Sort of great in the same way you would consider 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space' or 'Troll 2' to be. It's a fun guilty pleasure with very casual and easy going game play that will have me coming back to it again and again
