I love the game, its a lot of fun. The only complaint I have is, the game doesn't always explain things clearly. For example if I put ingredients in the cupboard (not fridge) during the level while serving customers that it will be thrown out after I serve the last guest. However, if I put it anything in the cupboard during the countdown after the last dish is served and the auto end of the match then it keeps them for the next round. I was 6 levels in when I lost 90% of my ingredients and had no way to recover them without restarting the game.

Very challenging and interesting game!!! First, there needs to be tutorial, or at least some kind of descriptions for the different items that you can get. It was hard to figure out what tool was used where, how money worked to buy things, what the cabinet vs the refrigerators are for, and so forth. Tooltips would be AWESOME. Once I figured all of that out, I really enjoyed this game. If there were some way to randomize the orders more, however, towards the end, I think it would be amazing and add a LOT to the level of challenge - it seems for each level there's a certain group of types of food that is ordered and other foods are not ordered at all. And just MORE LEVELS, please!! As it is, I have no way to earn enough stars to purchase everything I'd like to from the store, and I ran out of levels LONG before I grew tired of the game!! PLEASE!! Add more levels!!! There have been a couple of times the game has bugged a little, such as a plate disappearing in the middle of a level, or upgrades not showing up, but I could never put my finger on where they disappeared - I think once I purchased another refrigerator, then did one of the hidden levels, then when I went back to the regular level it wasn't there - that kind of thing. But nothing that messed my game up going forward - I could still buy the extra fridge, and the plate came back on the next level, etc. Still - excellent little game, a LOT of fun. More please!!

Don't let that cute cat fool you, this game is quite the brain tease! Honestly, this was not what I expected. I was originally looking for a chill and cozy card management/ deckbuilding cooking experience. And this is NOT that. Half frustration, half addicting...I binged this for 4 hours straight in one sitting. But would I recommend it? I am still on the fence on that one. It's a love-hate relationship. I LOVE the concept of this game. I haven't played anything like it before. In an Alice in Wonderland themed setting, you arrange cards you collect and craft to cook up delectable dishes to cute and quirky guests. You earn coin to buy food and supply packs to meet the customers needs. The game becomes a bit of a chaotic juggling fest at times. I love how there is a pause or speed up feature. I would HIGHLY recommend pausing before the round starts to organize your board. The puzzle aspect is fun and challenging. And the menu and ingredient options are so varied and plentiful. I HATE how the tutorial and explanation system in this game is lacking. It makes for an extremely irritating experience as you are stuck mid game, in the swing of things trying to figure it all out. Most of the time this ends up with you losing the round or pausing to go and scour the discussion board for the solution. For example, what is the difference between the fridge and the cupboard? I had to look this up on the forums for an explanation, and it is a pretty vital aspect of the game!! And why is the food storage timed at the end when the level is already beaten? I didn't understand this concept and ended up losing so many food items. I also didn't even realize you could sell items on the board to earn income to buy more supplies. So I ended up just restarting matches, hoping for the right combo of ingredients to drop. Which leads me to the buy system... like WTH?? Not sure if it is all RNG or if I am mismanaging something but some of the vital ingredients seem so rare to get. It just leads to you constantly buying cards packs, hoping for those rarer ingredients while collecting mounds of non-essentials. Leading to an overcluttered board. Management (and pausing) is so key in this game. And whilst that is part of the fun, the tedious nature of it all becomes tiring after a while. I wish there was some sort of automation system to aid with it because it is a lot to manage. Overall, I feel like this is a unique experience that I am enjoying and will continue to play. Def check out the demo before picking it up and be prepared to rely on the discussion forums for guidance. It can be a frustrating play and if they added more support and crowd control management options, it would vastly improve QOL for players. Worth checking out for something different but you need to be patient with the learning curve, so buyers beware !! Update: there are also no achievements for this game :(

I played the demo for like 15 hours cause I was really vibing with it. Having the full game is fun, but it makes the bugs a lot more noticeable. Sometimes when you put a pile of coins onto the store to buy a packet, it will take all of your 10s coins and use up 30 coins for a 6 coin packet (which was in the demo). Sometimes the recipe cards will bug out and not tell you how to make something when you click on it and force you to fail the level. Sometimes the audio won't reduce properly, or even when you have all of the audio muted the weird flamingo guy will still be making noises and force you to mute the game through system settings. Sometimes you'll make an egg for the caterpillar guy, and even though it shows his order is complete (as far as I can tell anyway, the game isn't super clear sometimes) he just won't go away and the order will fail. Edit: Or sometimes your pot will vanish into the sink and magically reappear later, and then your medium boiled egg won't allow it to be cut up with a knife, and then all your cards will start sticking and warping through each other as the game disintegrates before your eyes. And that creepy cat keeps smiling at me, keep your head down I don't want to look at you. Ultimately it's still a fun game but it needs a bit more time in the oven.

I think if you enjoy Cultist Simulator and Stacklands-likes, then you will have a good time with this one. The pros: Beautiful art, music and presentation. A good variety of recipes. The game lets you pause, so you don't have to worry about being overwhelmed. The cons: Overall, the gameplay is fun, but there is very little room for discovery - you just follow the same steps over and over again. It makes sense for a cooking game though. You do have plenty of unlocks for items and recipes, so that keeps things interesting. Having to rely on card packs for ingredients means that you will be selling cards over and over again to get that one bottle of sauce that refuses to drop, which gets tedious. Some levels seem to be quite long, the board gets very cluttered and I was finding myself getting tired of constantly shuffling things around and making room for stuff. On the technical side, I haven't encountered any bugs yet, but the sound is a little wonky - the guests' sounds are super loud despite having turned down the game volume. Overall, I'd say it's totally worth checking out and the price is more than fair.
