89p for 5000 achievements... That's basically what this is a simple transaction. You don't even need to actually click if you have an auto clicker. But as fair warning, Steam isn't a fan of the game trying to register so many achievements in such a short space of time. I had to restart my PC, as Steam bombed out big style. The only little thing you can actually do in this game is a few upgrades, that mean clicks count more. I don't know how long it actually took me to get the 5000 achievements, as Steam stopped displaying them very quickly, but I kept going for a good 20 minutes or so and then when I rebooted and looked at Steam, 100% done... The one other warning, my PCs temperature jumped from 46 to over 90 while playing this and the fans went up to full speed, so yeah, it will give your device a full and proper work out that's for sure. As a game, it's awful, definitely avoid if you are actually looking for gameplay. If you like achievements and have a few spare pennies and a few spare minutes, then yup, this is another one of those, must do games on the checklist. Anyway, transaction done, 100% done, 5000 achievements acquired, game will now be uninstalled and forgotten about, never to be replayed. So for me, that's 89p well spent.

You start by clicking, earn progress, buy upgrades, and slowly unlock achievements. The game is very simple and is clearly made for players who enjoy achievement hunting rather than people looking for a deep gaming experience. The basic gameplay loop is easy to understand. You click to earn progress, use the store to buy upgrades, and let the numbers increase faster over time. It is the kind of game you can play casually while doing something else because it does not demand much attention. The main appeal is obviously the achievement system. With thousands of achievements available, players who enjoy increasing their Steam completion numbers will get exactly what they are looking for. Seeing achievements unlock quickly can give a satisfying feeling, especially for achievement collectors. Compared to the earlier Achievement Clicker games, this version adds more items and upgrades, which makes the progression feel slightly better. However, the improvements do not completely change the experience. The core gameplay is still just clicking, upgrading, and waiting for more achievements. The biggest weakness is the lack of actual gameplay depth. There are no interesting strategies, no difficult choices, and no real challenge. Once you understand the system, you are mostly repeating the same actions until you finish. It works as an achievement tool, but it is hard to call it a fully developed game. The presentation is also very basic. The design and music are fine, but they are not what will keep most people playing. The achievements themselves are doing most of the work, and without them there would not be much reason to continue. Another issue is that the series starts to feel repetitive. If you have already played other Achievement Clicker games, there is not a huge amount here that feels new. It is more of an updated version of the same idea rather than a completely different experience. Overall, Achievement Clicker 2019 is good at being exactly what it is. Achievement hunters will probably enjoy the easy progress and huge number of unlocks, but players looking for an interesting idle game with real mechanics will likely get bored quickly. It is a decent achievement farming game, but not a memorable one. Rating: 5.5/10
