this a a great platformer that is challenging enough to keep me engages, but not too hard that I could not figure it out. I an a woman who grew up in the 90's and just want a puzzle game, that I can get achievements by finding things, but not too hard I cant beat the bad guys. 10/10

This game is way better than one would expect from a movie licensed Disney game, which I also assume was ordered to be made by Disney itself, and not some company seeking a license to make a cool game. On paper, it just squeaks that it is a corporate product, and I would expect a cash grab, but it was not. While it is very rough and I suspect the developer company was not assembled with the most talented programmers, the game was definitely made with love and passion. First the problems. The cutscenes lag, the game itself performs well, but surprisingly the cutscenes often play on very low FPS, like 15 or so. Gameplay-wise, there is a massive lack of enemy variety, the combat is too repetitive. You have 4 or so enemy types and even those are similar to one another – all of them are red cards with armour. But the biggest flaw of the game is the awful camera and how poorly it works in CO-OP mode. Whoever plays as the 2nd player will have to adapt to the first player's camera as it only follows them. If the 2nd player goes outside the frame, an arrow will point at him, but he will have a hard time getting back in the frame. At least, if player one goes too far away from the other player, the 2nd player will get teleported next to the player one. Luckily, I was player one, and my poor unfortunate friend had to play the whole game with this handicap. Haha, truly a sadistic game for CO-OP. I would say that the game is also maybe way too forgiving, but it is a game made for kids primarily, so why not. You get so much points and the costs of the upgrades and death penalties are rather slim. With very minor grinding you can become rich, so basically you can play without any grind at all and still be on the easy street. Now for the positives. What I did not expect is that there are multiple characters you can play as and each of them have special powers and abilities and you can even upgrade them and apply all that in combat. Usually, such licensed games for kids would do with only a bare attack action and that would be all, so what this game offers is quite advanced for a kids game (it would still only be a serviceable combat for a serious big game though). What impressed me is that you need to use the characters' abilities for puzzles and secret hunting, and often the game even requires you to use a combination of multiple characters' abilities at once. It is so awesome, and even though, while many games do this, on the other hand, there are so many games, even big games, that do not have such solid implementation of abilities, so this game is truly well made. (Or just proves how lazy most other games can be) But the highlight of the game is the world and the creative level design. Game looks wonderful and magical. Levels are filled with collectables, secrets and destructable environments. Everything looks nice, authentic to the source material and visually fantastic. The layouts are great, often you need to interact with the environments and use your abilities on them to make new paths and alter stuff. There is also a quite good amount of content for a kids game and the variety of levels and enviroments is stunning. It is all superbly made. Overall, even with the major shortcomings, this game is still great time. 7/10
