👽 Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded This is one of those cases where the second game is a massive step forward in every possible way. If the first Alien Shooter is a classic I clearly remember and feel nostalgic about, the second one somehow slipped past me back in the day. I probably played it briefly, forgot about it, and over time everything blurred together. Coming back now, it feels like rediscovering it properly for the first time. The game significantly improves graphics, adds a clear (though simple) story, side characters, a lot more weapon variety, a proper leveling and experience system, character abilities and implants, and even character selection. There are a lot of monsters — sometimes almost too many — endless waves of aliens, tons of gore, satisfying animations of shots and exploding enemies. Compared to the first game, which was quite repetitive in environments, Alien Shooter 2 introduces much more variety: • military bases and laboratories • sewers • highways and cities • forests and caves You can even drive vehicles and mow down hordes of aliens, which adds a fun arcade twist. The story exists and slowly moves forward, though you don’t influence it much — except for the ending. There are two endings (good and bad), with a bit of betrayal involved. 🎬Familiar Influences While the game feels original, I couldn’t help noticing some familiar vibes: • Serious Sam — hordes of enemies, lots of weapons, fast-paced chaos • Alien — eggs in caves, hostile creatures, clear sci-fi horror influence • Fallout (classic) — overall structure, progression systems, world feel • Resident Evil — labs, experiments, biological horror I’m not saying it’s copying anything — more like sharing DNA with the era and genre. ⚔️Gameplay & Progression The game is dynamic, not overly long, and its length mostly depends on the difficulty you choose. There’s a huge arsenal of weapons, and you really need to think about: • what to buy now • what to save money for later • which upgrades matter most You’ll never have infinite money, so planning actually matters. Hidden loot spots are everywhere — sometimes with valuable weapons or items worth selling. Personally, my favorite weapon ended up being the shotgun, especially with accuracy upgrades — extremely satisfying. ✅ Pros: ✔ Huge improvement over the first game ✔ Much better graphics and animations ✔ Clear progression, XP, and leveling system ✔ Tons of weapons and build choices ✔ Varied locations instead of repeating corridors ✔ Vehicles add fun arcade chaos ✔ Satisfying shooting and gore ✔ Fast, dynamic gameplay that doesn’t overstay its welcome ✔ Two endings ✔ Still feels fun and playable today ❌ Cons: ➖ Story is simple and mostly linear ➖ Choices don’t affect much besides the ending ➖ Can feel overwhelming with enemy spam ➖ Balancing can be rough on higher difficulties ➖ Some mechanics feel dated 📝 Conclusion Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded is exactly what a sequel should be. It takes the foundation of the original and evolves it in every direction. It’s fast, brutal, chaotic, and genuinely fun. Not too long, not boring, and packed with content compared to the first game. You get better visuals, progression, story context, and gameplay depth without losing the core arcade spirit. 👉 Highly recommended — especially if you like classic top-down shooters, hordes of enemies, and RPG-lite progression systems. ⭐ Rating:8/10 A strong sequel that still holds up surprisingly well. 🎮 Fun Facts: • Alien Shooter 2 introduced RPG elements that defined later entries in the series • The game expanded massively on enemy variety compared to the first part • Vehicles were a new feature not present in the original Alien Shooter • The series became a cult classic among fans of old-school top-down shooters • Many players consider Alien Shooter 2 the best entry in the entire franchise

simple, fun and it doesn't pretend to be anything else other than what it is. destroying things that mean you harm. perfect for unwinding after working a crap job. i'm having tons of fun with this game.

I can only wish they continue off the series with the same proper story-telling, music, and voice acting that Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded provided. I looked up online and saw that the team behind the franchise actually was not doing so well financially, as their game was wildly pirated. Its a shame, but I can now see why later installments are as they are, having little to no funding behind them. This might be the Sigma Team magnum opus besides the first Alien Shooter and maybe Zombie Shooter. I highly recommend anyone to play this game, just to pass the time, or to fool around, its worth every buck.
