Playing through the campaign it's a chill little Aquarium builder, people will email you, and sometimes there's a secret objective that you have to figure out what they want and try to make it the best you can, however if you want to 100% this? the game turns into Fish torture simulator, KILL 300 FISH, KILL 300 PLANTS so I'm sitting here building the perfect fish deathquarium by replacing the water with acid, and superheating it to 35C and I sit here and think about my life as I dump 200+ Angel fish to their inevitable doom, and wonder how an aquarium simulator game that I picked up for 2 bucks has made me fish enemy number 1, truly Women want me, Fish fear me, Mermaids are conflicted

What I bought: base game + most, if not all, of the available DLCs on sale Liked: - Runs on my device, graphics were surprisingly well - Variety of fish available - Variety of hardscapes, and foliage available - Making unique hardscapes, and foliage mix was enjoyable to me - Campaign is so far enjoyable and can be challenging Critique: - I wish there were more fish species (and more color variety for the bettas), and other creatures likes shrimps and snails - More decorations would be nice, and I wish I could make some decorations larger or smaller than what it can already be - I wish I was able to stack some decorations on the rocks Overall: I enjoy both the campaign and sandbox mode. Due to my creative nature, I felt that I was being limited in some areas due to the inherent game mechanics. However, I was still able to create designs I liked staring at.

Lovely way to help plan irl tanks, would just love if shrimps and kuhli loaches were added! The current variation of fish is still really nice, the plants are fairly diverse and it's easy to place rocks as you want. A cool but maybe difficult feature to implement could be multiple substrates at once like soil/gravel/sand like the walstad method.

Nice if you like to play with setting up aquariums, needs more realistic items such as snails,frogs,dry areas and such.

Overall enjoyable game, but much more limited game play than I was expecting. 1 - Campaign mode I loved the campaign mode but the emails for the jobs come in so quickly, I'll receive the next one in a series before I've completed the first one, and when you have 3 series running at a time, the inbox gets very full. Staggering the emails until the first job is completed would be great, and limiting to one or two jobs sent a day, would make it seem less demanding, and feel like the campaign was a bit longer. Also sometimes clients request items for a job that I haven't unlocked yet, I just have to reset, because there is no back button. If you need an item from a specific level to pass a job, say it before I accept the job. 2 - Animal selection There really just aren't enough fish. Someone else said 48 on base game. There are over 18k species on the planet. And that's just fish, not including turtles, salamanders, frogs, or shrimp, etc. I'm sure the community would love to help add fish if modding was possible. There is so much potential here. 3 - Behaviours Only maybe three or four species I've played with have actually behaved how I would expect them to. Most of the time they just kind of drift around in the top middle of the tank. One or two will scuttle around and hide in the reef and plants, but the rest are pretty robotic looking. 4 - Compatibility Not being able to place fish in tanks with other fish because of incompatibility limits game play even more. Some of the descriptions say 'good with bottom dwellers' or 'similar fish', but the game won't let you put any fish in with these fish. Even if the predator fish will eat the smaller fish, I'd prefer to just be told this in game, and not outright forbidden from doing it, especially in sandbox mode 5 - Decor placement Another review said let me put the plants right against the rock, and I agree. I want to be able to clip rocks through each other to make a bigger rock, or something similar. All in all, I did enjoy the campaign, and will continue to play the sandbox mode. But it needs more.
