I think I've played this enough now that I feel comfortable leaving a review. I rarely play anything other than Diamond Mine mode, which is locked behind the Quest mode. I am aware that there are probably many others with much higher scores than me. But when life is stressful and work is a word Steam won't let me say, this is what I come to to relax: a fifteen-year-old puzzle game that probably didn't spawn the match-3 category, but certainly popularized it. Reviews are still this positive for a reason. Spend the $5 and get it. Your sanity will thank you.

Played for 100 hours, started booting it up, BSOD'd my computer, lost all my saves and had to start over. If this had happened for any other game, I'd have been devastated. Lucky for me, having to start a new Bejeweled file is a delight. It spawned a million imitators for a reason.

My grandma walked in on me playing this game and said "Is this like that Candy Crush game I play a lot?", before laughing uncontrollably. Except that did not happen, she's dead. I miss you grandma. Great game!

I put over 75 hours into a simple match-3 game, so that should already say a lot. Its a game from a simpler time, in the age just before the casual puzzle genre became inundated with greedy monetization schemes, annoying advertisement galore, or games that just tried too hard. Bejeweled 3 acts as kind of "final hurrah" for the golden age of casual gaming from the mid-2000s. The original Bejeweled played a huge part in popularizing the genre at the turn of the century, so it is fitting that Bejeweled 3 released near the culmination of that era. As for the game itself, Bejeweled 3 is attractive both visually and mechanically. Gameplay is simple and addicting, with a few changes and new game modes to spice things up from the previous entries in the series. There are 8 game modes in total, each one offering a different way to experience Bejeweled's gem-matching fever. There is something here for everybody. I highly recommend.
