Fun and easy. Leveling up happens fast. If you love to gather items and hoard stuff this is the game for you. Quickly get through the storyline just by gathering and having fun. Fishing is easy. Take care of cute animals, and your pet will help you find stuff. Very enjoyable.

Really cute game, enjoying every moment. Story line is lovely, and it is easygoing. Nice game to play while you chill of an evening.

Zero combat, nothing but relaxing game play. Lots of items to unlock for decorating your house and farm and numerous story and side quests to keep you busy. I really enjoy being able to choose between different companion animals and working to unlock all the recipes for crafting and cooking. Great for my blood pressure!

I'm personally having a good time with this game but I think it's not for everyone. The game's progress is heavily story based and very linear. So if you don't prefer that kind of gameplay, I don't recommend. but if you don't mind, you'll have a good time. (except for getting all the fishes it's a pain.)

I wish there was a 3rd option for rating these games- an ambivalent option that would mean you felt "so-so" about the game. I didn't love this game but I can't give it a thumb's down, really. It has great music and a cute world and characters. The houses and animals are well done and the contracts are a great idea. But the economy is messed up. There is no progression in the money you make from farming and crafting. It seems like the profit margin is @20 gold on average for grown things and when you compare that to the 15k I need for my next chicken barn upgrade, you see the problem. You don't get to a good point where you can expand your barns easily because of the cash needed or the mats needed that only spawn in a handful of spots per day. Fishing is annoying as heck, except for at the 2 farms, and the cash values are ridiculously low. Cooking was tedious because the majority of the recipes require you to buy items from stores. The only item that I liked cooking was roasting my chestnuts.
