Zero combat, nothing but relaxing game play. Lots of items to unlock for decorating your house and farm and numerous story and side quests to keep you busy. I really enjoy being able to choose between different companion animals and working to unlock all the recipes for crafting and cooking. Great for my blood pressure!

I wish there was a 3rd option for rating these games- an ambivalent option that would mean you felt "so-so" about the game. I didn't love this game but I can't give it a thumb's down, really. It has great music and a cute world and characters. The houses and animals are well done and the contracts are a great idea. But the economy is messed up. There is no progression in the money you make from farming and crafting. It seems like the profit margin is @20 gold on average for grown things and when you compare that to the 15k I need for my next chicken barn upgrade, you see the problem. You don't get to a good point where you can expand your barns easily because of the cash needed or the mats needed that only spawn in a handful of spots per day. Fishing is annoying as heck, except for at the 2 farms, and the cash values are ridiculously low. Cooking was tedious because the majority of the recipes require you to buy items from stores. The only item that I liked cooking was roasting my chestnuts.

It's a cute little farming game. Enjoyable to play. Some things are annoying like having little micro currencies at different stores. Sell cooked dishes to get "gourmet" coins to buy recipes and ingredients. Sell fish for fish coins for recipes and ingredients. You get the idea. It's also annoying when you're in a menu, it exits outs when you complete an action. So say your at the mill and need to make shreds to make animal feed and then make fertilizer for your tree, you have to open the menu separately each time for every action instead of just staying in the menu until you're done. It's not the best farming game I've played, but it is still fun and I'll continue to play despite the flaws. Edit to add: Completed the main story line around 33 hours. I got it on sale and was worth the price, but wouldn't pay full price for it. The game feels incomplete. There are some flirty interactions with the NPCs, but there's no romance developed in the game. The main storyline ends on a cliffhanger which just feels like it should be a continuation of the quests. Your journal has a spot for people's stories, but never updates even as you progress your friendship. Overall, I'd give it a 6/10. It's fun. I enjoyed it. It has a lot of room for improvement.

A farm simulator where the player, after a long journey, encounters a situation involving their grandfather. Throughout the game, the player takes care of their farm, upgrades it, and gets to know the neighboring villagers, helping them and forming friendships. The game has a consistent storyline, in my opinion, which presents challenges for the player to overcome in order to progress the story. Additionally, on this adventure, the player is accompanied by a pet, with several options for the type of animal. Decoration in this game is somewhat limited since there are specific places to put objects. Despite that, I think it’s a good game to play.

This game is a hidden gem! There is SO much to do. I got this game on sale and I was 100% happy that I did. I think full asking price is fair due to the amount there is to do. The story of the game is okay, the NPC's have some personality to them. The graphics is nice and controls well. I played on steamdeck and it ran flawlessly up until the end of the game when it became a bit buggy but was still playable. Even after completeing the story I continued to get all achievements and that is when I really noticed how much there is to do in the game. There is your traditional farming, fishing, crafting and cooking which I really enjoyed but one of the features I really liked was the ability to not only could you customise and place furniture in your house but you can also change the way the barn, chicken barn and windmill appear. You can really change the way the farm looks to suit your needs. There is a contract board which I really enjoyed doing and the variety of resources to collect is the perfect amount. 10/10, would recommend!
