One of the best VR games I've ever played! The ending gave me goosebumps, the stealth is amazing! You get so immersed that even the thought of getting caught is so terrifying! Had a few bugs, especially in the last level. But it doesn't make experience any worse, nothing critical, only funny bugs

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do, I'm half crazy, all for the love of you. Motherboard... I have failed you! Budget Cuts is a super exciting stealth-action VR game where you play as a human working for TransCorp , a company where humans have long been replaced by robots. This is how the game begins—with you receiving a call informing you that the higher-ups will be performing a "budget cut" on you , in the most literal sense. This is by far one of, if not the, most intense VR shooters out there , and that’s why I loved it so much. For all the emotions and sweat it managed to extract from me, the game is an absolute thrill . It plays out like a puzzle chamber with several objectives to complete, and what adds to the complexity is the deadly MurderBots that are always on guard and will turn you into ash in mere seconds. You operate a portal-like device that helps you navigate tight spots or make quick getaways. The sandbox aspect of the device is nearly insane, with so many creative ways to use it. Your weapons are standard office supplies like pens, darts, and opening knives —or basically anything sharp that you have to manually throw. This adds to the challenge, as timing and accuracy are key one wrong trajectory and you'll find yourself back at the latest checkpoint. The gore in this game is satisfying , as you see the “life” of a MurderBot fade away as the black fluid pouring out of a freshly made cut. Robots can also get crippled, which impacts their behavior and movement. My gameplay took the “London Stabbing” approach, where I was stabbing every robot up close and dipping out with the portal gun before other MurderBots could get a clear shot at me. The final boss is, without a doubt, the highlight of the game . It’s an absolute brainstorm to figure out how to take him down while he constantly chases you and knows your location. I don’t think I’ve exercised this hard in VR for a long time, i had to actually crawl through vents to avoid being spotted and trying to cheese my way through by shooting through the tiniest crevices I could find. It was so intense and honestly terrifying in the best way possible. The sound design of the final boss also adds to the terror factor. This title is available on most VR headsets , so you’ll definitely find a way to play it even on the Quest 2, where a PC isn’t even required. It, by far, this remains one of the most memorable VR titles I’ve played over the years. I might even put it above Half-Life: Alyx on the intensity scale because some moments genuinely kept me on my toes. The sequel builds on everything this game does and is even better, so I highly recommend checking that out as well. Thanks for reaching the end of this review since the only Steam reviews that get the most votes are the 2 word shitposts lol. And uh that’s about it. See ya. 10/10 – Due to budget cuts, we had to cut this review in half. Sorry.

this one is up there on the favorite games list. really cool implementation of the controls and movement, great simple story, and i love the way it doesn't baby you through it too much as you progress. the ending credit scene was simple but phenomenal and it gave me chills throughout the whole thing. wish it was a little longer but that why there's a second one!! really great game and i can see myself replaying this a few times in the future.

The only game where I can kill GoPros with guns and shit my pants when they see me first. The only stealth VR game where I actually felt like I needed to be...well... Stealthy...

As close as we're probably going to get to a Portal game in VR: fun gameplay where the locomotion mechanic cleverly plays a key role and a narrative brimming with dark and witty humor that doesn't overstay its welcome. A VR must-play!
