One of the first times it felt good to use things I learned in school to get the win while playing a video game... In this case, geometry and physics. Base building, tower defense, and unit based strategy at it's finest and wrapped in a cartoony, yet well crafted, nice 2D art style.

The pros: Chilled, goofy vibe with charming music and visuals. Satisfying gameplay, particularly ballista headshots, multikills and castle demolition. A surprising variety of mission objectives with multiple different ways to complete them, decent progression, and a reasonable challenge when played on 'hard' difficulty. The cons: A minority of the missions feel like filler that could have been omitted without any negative effect on the pros. Online multiplayer is empty. The unexpected: Platformeresque missions, which offer a limited playstyle and at times feel like they 'get in the way' - particularly in the DLC - of the normal missions that are a successful Tower Defense-Angry Birds fusion. The summary: A great way to relax and enjoy some daft, satisfying destruction. The complete edition (including base game and both DLC) is well worth the money when on sale.

For the asking price, it's a fun tower defense/beat em up game. Despite the kid friendly art style, the challenge on the harder setting is actually fairly high.
