Well, its been 2500 hours and a 1y9m of calendar time, I suppose I owe it to the community and potential players to drop my 2c. Two years now, Still the greatest social VR game of all time. This is my first, and only, social VR game, and tbh, only vr game I've played so far. While the community is small, its generally very kind and helpful. if you are new and want to know how to make stuff, people will generally tell you exactly what it is. no knowledge is gatekept. Aside from an issue with unity 2021.3.x on linux (not something CVR can fix) and an issue with the CCK on linux (fixed for all current release and previews) I was able to get my first avatar up in immediately. It was a very simple free booth avatar (Haolan) and was very simple to begin with, but as I played more I learned more and was taught more. As its also a unity game, much of what you may know from vrchat is directly applicable here. There's a few subtle difference that will hang you up, but again, just about any player who's uploaded one will probably tell you what's up. While I've never made any proper complex prop there are very talented creators here who have made so many cool things. Hell even the 'official' props, while very simple compared to some creations, are incredibly fun and neat. Try out the Pop Hammers and the Snowglobe Blasters, they're fun. Whatever you can think of, you can make it, if you're willing to learn the skills. Also. You've probably seen an influx of very negative reviews. Basically all of them are spurred on by a rightfully banned player, no matter how many hours they had in the game prior. They absolutely got what they deserved. However. until CVR makes a statement of some kind on it, well. I get why people would believe the lies. Rock and a hard place. Play it yourself, and make your own decisions. And have fun :)
