[Circle Empires] is one of the greatest modern RTS games ever made, where do i even start? Well at the beginning is a good place, I got [Circle Empires] around when it first game out, and it was wonderful fantastic, but as time went on, the developer added more and more to the game. The 2nd game is titled [Circle Empires Rivals] and it is a pretty much upgrade onto the base game. Certain things like towers gaining xp, and more units gaining xp and more diverse unit compositions make the 2nd game more engaging for people who were big fans of the original game. But back to the original game [Circle Empires], I came back to this game to get 100% achievement rate, and i was successful and in the time i did so I took a second look back at [Circle Empires] and I got to say that yes their 2nd game is better in all regards, they sure did breakthrough and make a wonderful first game, and some of the main differences are that in the first game, less things gain xp, and there are less buildings and less gamemodes. If you have some extra time on your hands let me say that going for 100% achievements in this game is an absolute cakewalk if you are an average rts gamer, like for me, I've dabbled in AoE2 online, broodwar and i at times am a hardcore warcraft3 1v1 player, and then coming from those games and coming into a more casual game like [Circle Empires] to go for achievements, it's a nice way to spend a few nights, and it's a nice way to get me to want to go play more of [Circle Empires Rivals] Overall [Circle Empires] is like the one true indie rts, indie is a stupid word and it is descriptive of nothing, but it's a vibe and this game certainly is one hell of a vibe, and I have found myself opening up [Circle Empires] and [Circle Empires Rivals] multiple times since purchasing this game in 2018. I always come back to this game, and if you are big fan of rts games, then this game will strike you as being an absolute joy to play.

Fast-paced, small-scale RTS that starts off fairly decently with its cute art style and curious circular world structure, but quickly reveals its shallow, formulaic gameplay, even with its wide range of starting options. 5.3/10

Fun, but pretty buggy? As far as achievements, some of them are clearly untested because they're nearly impossible to achieve. It took a lot of RNG and frustration.

It has the basics of circle-based territory capture RTS, resources, attacking units, defense facilities, etc. There are not many choices, so the play time is short and it's easy to play. You can move around, flank, scavenge, etc., but it's basically a game of quantity. Recommended for those who don't have much time. Please do not expect the AI ​​to be too intelligent.
