Even if it is not a very good production, it has a special place for me. The Crash Time series is actually an adaptation of the Cobra 11 (Alarm für Cobra 11) TV show. When I was young, I used to catch it on TV from time to time and it was enjoyable to watch. Even though the game is not very good, I bought it when I saw it because the show has a special place for me. Since the show generally features car chases, it also had an impact on increasing my interest in cars. High-Quality Mechanics for Its Time To be honest, the driving mechanics are way ahead of what was expected. Despite being released in 2008, it has nice and realistic car mechanics. Along with this, it also features damage mechanics that most companies did not dare to do in those years. It stands out awkwardly in some places, but overall they made it successfully. Of course, no matter how successful these mechanics are, unfortunately, they are not enough to fill the void in the game's soul. An Unimmersive Open World As I mentioned above, the game feels soulless. The 2 biggest reasons for this are that its world is not very satisfying, the color palette is bad, and the story is not adapted properly. It has a soulless atmosphere, and after the first 1-2 hours, the gameplay feels quite empty. After a while, we enter a vicious cycle in this boring world. The missions start to repeat themselves... In short, it looks like most of the budget was spent on mechanics, and they didn't focus much on the atmosphere, open world, and story parts. That's why it turns into a completely empty car driving game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3695334970 Conclusion Unfortunately, this game is nothing more than exploiting a brand name. Most game companies try to turn hit brands into games with low budgets, and we end up encountering games like this. They wasted a show that already has a deep story. The game feels fun for a short time, but afterwards, as I said, it becomes repetitive and starts to get boring. A great potential has been wasted. This is a hidden gem for anyone who wants to race the Autobahn with traffic at ridiculous speeds, while having forgiving controls. Be sure to wishlist this game and pick it up for (less than) 1 dollar, money well spent!

Ah, Crash Time II. Is it flawed? Absolutely. But it's fun. It has some decent racing fun, the car wrecks look great, and the missions are actually underrated. I especially love the one that's about a bomber, where you have to evade a remote control explosive drone and then eventually use your own. The variety of missions with stunts, car chases, races, and absolute chaos make this game actually pretty worth playing if you just want to have some relatively easy but epic gameplay. If you're new to the racing genre, this actually is not a bad place to start given the game's difficulty. The graphics are OK. As great as it is, we better discuss the cons. The missions are a bit weird sometimes, making not too much sense. The voice acting is terrible (even the captions can be just as bad, and sometimes the wrong character says the line), but that's a given considering the game's relatively low production quality. It also lacks a proper plot (but I've noticed that most racing games do not even have a plot so the fact there's something at all is actually pretty good). The physics is a bit janky but still works just fine. It is important to know that this game is based on a TV show: "Alarm for Cobra 11 - The Highway Police". This actually is the SIXTH game based on the show. Long story short, it's fun and action-packed, but only if you can tolerate jank. It just so happens that I grew up with this game so I can definitely tolerate it and enjoy it.

I don't get the negative reviews for this one, honestly. This is a fantastic objective based driving game. The graphics are great even for today, and the cars handle like I wish gta 5 would: forgiving in breaking power and grip, but grounded in realism. Not to mention the excelent deformation physics. As for the difficulty, I have been playing on normal with manual shifting on controller and found it very forgiving. When I fail I know it's because I messed up, and even then, I normaly pass the missions on first try. The performance is great, runs stable and never crashes. It also does work well with a controller, you just have to bind every button. The story is a good bonus, it's just a light hearted buddy cop adventure with independent missions. I never watched the tv show it's based on, but I can get the appeal. Only negative I can note, is that finding the missions is a bit annoying, since some missions start randomly on patrol and some you have to drive into the marked location. I searched a wakthrough online and once I figured out how it works, it was smooth sailing. Anyways, if you like games like Driver, Simpsons Hit and Run or The Itallian Job, you're probably going to get a great bang for your buck with this one, especially for how cheap it is.
