Darius is a long running shmup series since the early days of arcades. The series is with the greats like R-Type and Gradius. Darius Burst Choronicle Saviours is a long awaited newest entry in the series. The game does not disappoint with fine visuals and classic Darius game play and pulse pumping boss fights. The ONLY thing I hate is the music..it's pure cringe. Too much choir high pitch obnoxious sound made me turn it off. I am alone in this but you don't put this trash in a shmup it ruins the flow. Darius Gaiden did the same thing on the first stage and it's so flipping cringe and here they dial it to 11. Belongs in a Metroid Vania or adventure game, but not this! Zone D had good music though, it had a japanese sounding flair that was a welcome break from that woman screeching in my ear drums. So other than the awful OST (like Raiden V) the game is great to play and lots of fun. Like darius or shooters? Don't pass this up!

A truely epic shmup with gorgeous graphics and music and a solid gameplay. Loving the arcade mode and the short format. This however constrasts with the CS mode which is a marathon and turns into a burden as it is highly repetitive (the purple levels are just too much). Also, counter-bursting with most burst ships is annoyingly tricky in my opinion. Could be improved but remains a great shmup overall.

can't get over how good the music is, but also how much the dlc mode gameplay adheres to the systems of the originals games they are based on. sure, it's expensive dlc, but they do put in effort into them - but they go on sale. anyway good game

If you love the arcade game, you will love this home version! The stages and bosses are as challenging as ever, lots of variety in game play and the graphics are amazing! The backgrounds and layers of color are a sight to behold.
