Just finished the game, and i have a few things to say. First, it was a lot better than i suspected it to be. Second, the animation was great. The music wasnt bad at all, and the chases were not mind numbing as Poppy Playtime's. Overall, this game was very surprising, and we (yes WE) need Chompy to return at some point.

Dark Pals is a mascot horror game, and created by the folks behind the Horror Skunx Youtube channel. To my knowledge, it's basically a parody of mascot horror, particularly of Elsagate style videos that infest Youtube. For this reason, this game is best experienced knowing you don't need to take it too seriously. Especially since the characters from the channel show up as themselves as well. You go through an abandoned children's asylum, which has its old mascots roaming about. The designs certainly are uncanny, and you end up interacting with them a decent bit beyond just getting chased by them. Aside from that, there's a decent few puzzles to break up the monotony which are pretty fun. A lot of them require the use of a little octopus shaped ink gun to either shoot objects as is or color them with ink you have to collect elsewhere. The downside is that this game really isn't that scary. Like I said, this is more like a parody of the mascot horror genre that doesn't take itself too seriously. So if you are here for a truly frightening experience, this game might not be for you. If you are a fan of Horror Skunx or are just intrigued by the genre, you will likely enjoy it. Remember that this is only the first part, which took me about 70 minutes to complete. Decide for yourself if you find it to be worth it, you can always reconsider when the next parts release.

Even though it's brainrot mascot horror. This game was very surprising. Even with a small cast of monsters, they make each character their own. Will be playing the second chapter on release. Yall even got cory 🥹

Very fun! A puzzle-and-chase game with moderate difficulty, making it very casual. You can finish it in 1 to 2 hours. Had a great time with my nephew. Graphics The best part. The monsters, all the scenes, and graphics are very well crafted. If you like the scenes in It Takes Two, I think you'll like this game too, even though they are completely different games with completely different art styles. However, the scenes do give me a similar feeling, like being in a toy world. Horror Game? I basically played the whole game with my nephew - he had a blast, although he was scared by some jump scares. But for us, it's still kind of like a casual game in a horror vibe, at least I think it is for its current content :) Monsters While it's difficult to describe something as both cute and scary, the monsters in this game are a perfect blend of both. Binky Drinky Binky has a huge, gaping maw full of teeth on its belly. Although it sounds a little scary, it's actually cute, except for the times when it ate me. Compy Chasey A very cute dog. Although it chased and bit me at first, it finally stood up to help me and got injured during the fight with Binky. I hope it can be alive, because I want to see it again in the full game. Soundtrack Sometimes creepy, sometimes funny! I especially love the Omelet song, lmao. The current content gives me high expectations, so I hope the Devs won't mess the full game up. Give it a 9/10 for the great job on chapter one!
