Cute and compact RTS experience that is still being tweaked as of writing. A real gem I must return to and finally finish and enjoy as much as its makers do.

This game is a fun, bit-sized RTS game. The objective is to defeat the opponent's castle before they do yours, via overwhelming their structures and army with your own. There are three options for building: mines (money), barracks/graveyard (troops), and towers (defense). There are a few other things that come into play later during the campaigns, as well. As you can see from my play time, the game is quite short. My gameplay not only includes campaign time, but also a while on Domination mode. Some of the campaign fights have unique mechanics that made them quite interesting. I was able to beat both campaigns without any losses or restarts, but the Domination mode can be a lot more difficult. I think Domination mode would take up the most time, but far. Visually, this game is quite striking. There's the black-and-white option you see here, as well as a colorful one. The cutscenes are still in black-and-white, but I that didn't affect my experience at all. I think the colorful version of the game is better to play, and better on the eyes. The soundtrack was fitting, but I mostly heard one track the whole time I played. Luckily, the game is quite short, so neither the sound nor any other element of the game wore out its welcome. If you're into RTS games, and you have a few hours to try something interesting, I recommend giving "Death Crown" a shot.

This game is super fun, very addicting, and extremely simple. It has unique art, a pretty cool and straightforward story, and really accomplishes all it sets out for. I mean, you get to play as The Death as she sets out to take revenge on humanity, before you play as the humans. The game knows what you want. The soundtrack is pretty fitting and awesome too. My only complaint is, as you get more into the challenge levels the game gets insanely difficult. The simplicity of the combat takes away from the strategy and makes it an uphill battle trying to fight the CPU. It devolves into RNG and the CPU just getting abilities you don't have. It's very frustrating for someone like me who loves to 100% games, only to be stuck on a level for days, due to RNG and not skill. I'll probably come back eventually but for now I have given up. *sigh* Will be looking forward to a sequel! UPDATE: After about a half a year, I came back, beat domination, and have no regrets. This game is awesome. Worth the sweat and tears for the 100% on Steam. It was definitely a skill issue for me before.
