this game will show you how it feels to dogfight various aquatic killing machines in slow motion with a slingshot. nothing will make your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pucker like seeing a great white the size of a bus in your peripheral that you didnt know was there, silently gliding right at you fast as hell and u gotta reload. phenomenal.

For a game made by only two people it is well done. The atmosphere in the water can be felt, the gameplay is fun with shooting all the sea creatures trying to kill you and the Kraken called Death definitely gave me a few good jump scares lol. It is also not overpriced either. If you find shooting games fun, want a little challenge and like the ocean then I recommend trying it.

This game is beautifully atmospheric - from the graphics to the sound effects, it's really immersive. Most of all, I can't get over the shark models and how they move like real animals. Best of all, the sharks aren't being villainized, but used as tools by our big bad Kraken. It's a way different direction that I appreciate as a shark lover. Gameplay is simple and linear, but it's fine for what it is. You have objectives, you have things to find, and you have enemies to deal with as you uncover the secrets of your foe. The game will have you looking over your shoulder, feeding into the paranoia, which is justified as you basically play a game of manhunt with enemies that all swim better than you. I recommend this game for people who like a challenge and then like to try and beat their high scores. Personally, I'm here for the awesome setting.

★ ★ ★ ★ I give a 4 out of 5 Stars ★ for Death in the Water 2 I completed it with 100% Steam Acheivements in about 11 hours to post this review and it its way better than the 1st game, I am a ceritifed Open Water Diver with over 3 dozen scuba dives at West Coast, Mexico, Bahamas and Hawaii but i stopped it long time back. This game made me curious to see how it feels after my friend recommended it and i must say it was pretty unerving at start. I have Swam and Snorkelled at beaches where there have been recorded Shark Attacks just for the thrill because of the simple fact Attacks are extremely rare but it does keep you on your toes or shall i say fins. One stand out thing i noticed in this game is the realistic diver movement, the visibility, the sound of the Breathing Regulator which makes us all Darth Vader underwater which i feel were pretty well made. But what i find most unsettling is the way the Sharks move which is extremely accurate and somewhat scary as if they are real which gave me a bit of anxiety. I have done Shark diving mostly with a large group to see and even feed Carribean Reef Sharks, Black Tips, Sand Tigers, Lemons and on a rare a juevnile Tiger Shark. I would never even dare a solo dive let alone an encounter with a Great White in open water, which is the stuff of Nighmares but few of my friends have experienced including my ex-boyfriend who had a 14 Foot Great White swim past his group at Australia. Perhaps why this Game hits differently for me. Beyond that i felt after some intital moments of fear, the game became a routine under water shooter with OP Weapons and repetitive gameplay. The Final Kraken Boss fight was boring, as after Dive 1 to 14 with all upgrades you are pretty much invinsible. This game will be most enjoyable for people who have done scuba diving or people who love swimming in the ocean or other water sports. I am practically a Mermaid and it gave me a bit of Kink while playing. Some times fear makes your Horny idk. Overall Death in the Water 2 is a well made Scuba Survival Shooter game with plenty of Sharks, realistic sound, visibility, lighting, environment and Shark movements. It may not be enjoyable by a lot of people but easy to get 100% Steam Acheivements and Steam Trading Cards should be good enough for a buy and play. Cheers! Have Fun!
