This is the essence of what makes Vampire Survivor good without all of the excess bullshit in Vampire Survivor that makes it bad. Very recommended. Full experience easily in under 3 hours.

DEEP SPACE CACHE is a simple and relaxing incremental game. You fly around, shoot asteroids, upgrade your ship in the skill tree with resources from the asteroids, to shoot asteroids more efficiently, to gain resources quicker – repeat. It is good fun for 2-3 hours and that is all the game wants to be. For the low price it costs, its good fun and I can absolutely recommend it.

TL;DR Game is great. Enjoyed my first playthrough of 3 hours. Did a second playthrough of 2 hours after multiple updates and enjoyed it even more. Updated review after Update 22 I checked the game again after update 22 and I'm amazed. I didn't think the game could be improved but the dev did it somehow. They added more interesting upgrades, made the gameplay more interesting with the introduction of the white asteroids, sped up the game where I can beat it in about 2 hours instead of 3, improved the performance of the game where it's at 60 fps constantly. I'm surprised that the game got more fun to play. Nothing else to say other than great game. Read below for my first review... I guess? First review at Update 12 I saw Wanderbots's video and for a dollar I had to try it. The game took me just under 3 hours to beat it and I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys wants to have a chill night or want to try out an incremental game that can be beat in one day. Gameplay wise harvesting asteroids scratched the same itch that certain games such as Vampire Survivors or Path of Exile could fulfil for me. The music fit the game great where it put me into the right mood for the game and I had a couple of moments where I just sat in my chair listening to it. The upgrade system however is a bit boring while being a bit confusing for me on if they were additive or multiplicative. After beating the game I understand why the upgrades are the way they are but I was a bit disappointed that I saw most of the types of upgrades in the first 30 minutes. But then again being able to see and feel the difference between each run was very satisfying and seeing the final upgrades at the end of each tree was a pleasant treat for me. As for performance the game felt like it was running at less than 30 fps at moments but that may be just a me problem because I've been having issues with running some games on my machine. If I could ask for 1 change I would have liked a stats window to show you things like your damage per shot, shots per second, max power, and the total or individual bits per minute. I'm excited to see any updates to this game and other games from this dev.

It's a good active and short incremental game, scratches the itch left by To The Core and Nodebuster. Wouldn't put it on the same level as those two games, primarily because the dopamine rush isn't quite as addictive, and the upgrades aren't as bombastic as those games. The game starts to get cooler around the point where you unlock all the mines, but then it's a bit of grind to unlock the cooler effects and grind to the end. Still, fun incremental game, took about 3 hours with a further 20 minutes of idling to beat it 100%. For 1 dollar it's a no-brainer
