Review by [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/43642699-The-Adventure-Library/lists/] The Adventure Library - all about point and click adventures Is this game a masterpiece? No, not for me. Let me explain why. You play an attractive, healthy, 28 years old man(?). You have no woman, no job, no money, still study at the university but plan to quit, live at home with your (rich and dog-loving) mother, and she gives you house arrest after she wakes you up late on Saturday morning?? House arrest from your mum when you are 28 years old? And worst of all, there is a beautiful housemaiden living in the same house who obviously has a crush on you and you are too stupid to... well, you know what I mean. Finally stealing your mother's credit card and "borrowing" her car.... aaargh, and all this in the first half hour of my playtime. Most ppl are more mature in the age of 18. Come on, the main character is such an moronic wastebag that I feel embrassed to play him. You try to find you secret love in a park and your mother's poodle guards the entrance and doesn't let you in? Even the poodle is higher ranked than you in this family. At this time I simply wanted to kick that ugly pincher and show him how to treat family members (I do like dogs IRL, btw), but the game did not allow me to and I had to bribe him with a sandwich. If you can live with playing such a weakling you get a simple point'n'click adventure with an angel/demon story where you sold your soul to a demon (the devil?) and as a reward can live your wasted life again, this time trying to avoid all the bad decisions of your previous life. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2019086048 Maybe the story gets better later on, I won't downvote the game after just playing for 40 mins. It has an interesting graphical style and I encountered no bugs... try it at your own peril.

This is more of a neutral recommendation (and definitely only buy this on sale like I did) because conceptually, I love what this game is going for, 3 stories that are intertwined and the whole "going back in time to fix mistakes" that made Life is Strange so compelling, but the game has some huge flaws you need to consider before buying: 1)This is a port of a mobile game, some people really hate that, personally I don't mind if the port is done well. But aside with the game being able to be played in higher resolution that a mobile screen, it seems the developers added nothing to improve the game for PC, choosing between the different graphical choices didn't seem to change anything, but this may also be related to the fact that this game uses voxel/roblox like graphics. 2)Your character always walks slowly, doesn't matter what is happening in the story, whether you need to urgently save someone or are just looking for cheese... your character will continue to walk like hes going for a stroll. This can get very annoying when you are trying to solve puzzles that require you to move between screens, luckily more often than not, clicking a transitional area will instantly take you to the next area. But the developers could had easily added a key to walk a bit faster... it is this slow walk speed alone that is stopping me from replaying the game to get the second ending. 3)Some of the music is really bad and the game will keep playing it, its the worst in Chapter 1, wish they had added more music or used it sparingly. Which is weird cause in Chapter 2 you can go to a concert for the talented Maisy Kay, it just sounds like the developers found some copyright free loops and just slapped it in the game. 4)It suffers from the same problem point and click have suffered since their inception, "pixel hunting" aka you have to click in a very precise point to find what you looking for, and "moon logic" aka some solutions for puzzles may seem obscure, that being said... I didn't have to look at a walktrough once, none of the puzzles were so hard I couldn't eventually figure them out, but for example, in one point of the story you need to fill a container with water, in an area with 2 washrooms... so you thinking "okay just go to washroom" right? Nope you had to find another specific spot to get the water. 5)The vibe is all over the place, I honestly cant tell if the developer was trying to make this game a comedy even though it touches on some dark topics, or if the combination of voxel graphics with poor writing just accidentally gave the game a vibe that I couldn't take seriously, not that I did not enjoy the story...I just couldn't tell what the dev was going for,. With all that being said, if you can handle those few problems and find it on sale, the game has a cool concept, and would love if the developer or someone else made something similar but with better graphics and writing, maybe even add some voice acting. But for now... this is all we are getting.

Beat the game in 3.5 hours. One the first sight, Demons Never Lie looks like one ordinary click and point/adventure game. The map is clean and simple, everything is made by cube but you won't run into problems, won't be confused about what to do or where to go. What I love about the game is the story- and the devs made sure players don't run into trouble collecting items to solve puzzles, so to focus on it. In each chapter you control one person, and everyone is closely related. It is a fascinating story about angel/demon, live/die, at the end it tells a dark ritual, a case of series killer and a good story about the redemption of the protagonist. I happen to triggered the dark secret ending and it is way so cool. I write fanfiction some time and this is the ending I always had in mind. There are some mild scary moment but thanks to the cube graphic they are not that horrifying. The camera in the game is a bit weird, though, some times you need to click more to find a path.

A collection of three very low-poly P&C adventures that successfully merge into one interconnected story Pros: - Creepy and cute visuals. - Heavy themes, such as family, responsibility, infidelity, domestic abuse, alcoholism. - Puzzles that can be solved w/o being psychic or using a WT. - Possibility to commit all seven deadly sins and get achievements! - Brief and to the point. - Multiple endings. Cons: - No option to skip seen text, no text auto-play, and no text display speed settings in VN parts. Recommended? Yes, if you like good stories and want to find out if demons never lie.
