Achievement Hunters Expect to complete it within 3 hours to 100% all achievements, I planned my levels near the end where I was able to beat the final boss & also had specifically went to specific levels to get the last few items for maxing all 3 items after defeating the final boss, the endless mode only needs to be started to obtain the achievement
Duncrush has a solid foundation, but it could use a bit more variety to stay engaging throughout. The core gameplay loop of clearing dungeon floors, collecting loot, and becoming stronger is enjoyable at first. However, it becomes repetitive fairly quickly. While each floor introduces something new, most additions feel minor, and the enemies, equipment, and environments are largely the same with different visual themes. I wasn't a fan of the click-to-move controls. For this type of game, keyboard movement would have felt much more natural. Combat is also quite basic, and the very short attack range often means you have to stand almost on top of enemies, trading damage rather than avoiding it. The retro presentation is well done. The pixel art, sound effects, and soundtrack all fit the game's old-school style nicely. Nothing particularly stands out, but the overall presentation is solid. Progression is decent, and you definitely feel stronger as you unlock better gear. I especially enjoyed unlocking companions that help you fight through the dungeons. The game only lasts a few hours, which works in its favor since there isn't a huge amount of content. It's reasonably priced, although I'd recommend grabbing it on sale if you can. Performance was flawless during my playthrough, and I didn't encounter any bugs or technical issues. Overall, I still recommend Duncrush. It has a fun core gameplay loop and is an enjoyable short experience, but it would benefit from more gameplay variety and a few improvements to combat and movement.
Duncrush is a solid, well-made game that delivers exactly what it promises. The progression is smooth and satisfying, keeping things engaging without ever feeling overwhelming. It’s a clean, enjoyable experience that’s easy to pick up and just flows nicely from start to finish. Game took 3.2h to max-out, but there is new endless mode at the end, so you can push iy further if you want.
