Realistic and satisfying simulation of sailing; a fun game where you can explore and find Points of Interest to get new charts, or a sandbox to try out sail trim. The physics engine is realistic, even to the point of F10 storms and seas (no white caps though). The guides walk you through the controls for the boat and how to set the sails, and the detail in the scenery is amazing - someone was having fun adding rust stains, graffiti, windows, and snow caps. There's more to try out, including challenges and races, prop walk and sail twist, mooring and anchoring, underwater scenery... there's so much available. For a sailor IRL, I find myself coming back here to keep my skills up. Highly recommend for any level.

It's all about small boat handling and sail trimming. The constantly changing weather, night sailing, the islands and other features make it fun and challenging to explore. Anybody that doesn't have a boat should be playing this.

I like the game/simulator, but I do wish there were an option for a smaller vessel in the 14-19ft range, so I can practice on the size sailboat that I can afford in real life.

Bought this played for 3 hours. Bought a boat sailed for 3 hours. No training other than youtube and this 10/10! Helped with all the lines and how to put up a sail.

I adore this game. I'm landlocked in the midwest and curious about sailing. I watch youtube videos and tutorials, but they only provide a surface level understanding. Actually *doing* these things in a lovingly crafted simulator is a godsend. Everything I've seen makes sense now. The game isn't graphically impressive, but the physics and tutorials show intense attention to detail and a passion for spreading the hobby. Everything is modeled: pitching as you ride over swells, clanging of metal when the boat rocks, even drifting as the wind pushes you back while you struggle to get the sails up. The tutorials are narrated by an older English-accented text-to-speech, but that feels almost endearing in the age of strange AI narration. The content of the tutorials is also spot-on and incredibly rich with terminology and detail, while being presented in perfectly sized digestible chunks. It's a labor of love. I'm totally here for it.
