Straightforward gameplay mechanics that are easy to pick up on without explanation, combining the harvesting and crafting mechanic of Factorio without all the base planning and logistics management, instead replacing it with a run-and-gun dynamic and a casual analog vibe that is simple in execution, yet polished and ambitious in scope. This game is very evocative of a little-known indie title from nearly 25 years ago called Starscape by Moonpod Games. It takes that formula and adds the mechanics of games like SPAZ, Dome Keeper, Wall World, or FTL. I'd say it even has vibes from Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters. There's a minimalist story without much dialog intrusion, although it's a bit dehumanizing and uninteresting that you're only playing the role of a deep-space AI droid just going about its duties, rather than a human. The no-frills approach doesn't bombard you with pages of verbose reading and this doesn't even really need a tutorial. So many titles these days don't know when to stop vomiting text at you and spamming pop ups all over the screen that disappear before you can even read them. This doesn't have any of that. Animation is very smooth with great use of color and iconography to convey visual information, and lots of manga/mecha sci-fi influence. So many devs just make drab gameplay elements with no color distinction but the folks behind this game aren't just good at pixel art, they also know how important color is. Sound design is awesome and the music score contributes nicely to the retro atmosphere, alternating between ambient synth, cosmic orchestral overtures, and combat electronica. There are periods where the music track ends and does not immediately transition to something else, so there are several silent moments in between. A longer list of tracks with more variety would be cool to hear. The crafting recipes are in tiered groups that are vertically integrated, with a linear mechanic that is straightforward and doesn't require micromanaging a jumbled and confusing inventory screen, an unfortunate norm with so many games today. Crafting is fast and tight and organized, rather than a chore, and it's easy to identify what you need to gather next. Exploration is limited since you're only scouting for resources for as long as the five minute enemy warning timer allows. You don't stay in areas to develop them, you just grab and go with as many resources as you can until you're fending off enemies while the station gets ready to bounce to the next procedurally generated area. Suggestions for the future: With regard to the early game stages, it would be nice to mine and craft more easily at the same time by providing an option to move the inventory pop ups off to the side while still having control of the ship and mining laser. Multi-tasking this is possible (but inefficient) with the menu always in the way rather than side-by-side. Perhaps some new gameplay modes for replayability? Some kind of scoring incentive to give people a reason to come back? If it's going to be the same run over and over, how about some roguelike elements or evolutions on successive playthroughs? Difficulty modifiers? There doesn't really seem to be a reason to play it again to improve on previous runs, because there's no scoring aspect. Perhaps challenges like having to complete the game within a predefined number of jumps, or leaderboards showing how many areas people needed to visit before completing the phase gate? It's a great framework and I liked finishing it, but it's a little hard to justify coming back to it for a more progressive challenge or upgraded experience on subsequent playthroughs.

A little game that won't take you long to complete. It's a loop of going to a level where you mine various minerals and materials to craft into components. These components are needed for the gate construction attached to your mothership. You will be spending about 4-5 minutes or so in each stage, to which you're invaded by strange crystal enemies. Your mothership enters a "sealing" stage which takes a bit of time. It's your job to defend the mothership while this happens. After a little time you will dock into the mothership, enter hyperspace and arrive at a new area to mine. During hyperspace you can upgrade various technologies that benefit your mining lasers, ship hitpoints, speed and various other things. It's not very challenging, so it's a great recommendation for anyone that just want to chill :)

Its a fun little mining and crafting against the clock game that you can finish within 2 hours without trying too hard. Could I refund it? Yes. Will I? No. The dev has earned their 6 bucks :)

Awesome incremental game, very satisfying progression. Very competently made, no bugs, no ui issues, no "wtf" moments, just a great experience all around. To the dev: this could be a great base for creating a bigger game with more stuff to find in the surrounding space and more stuff to build. Good luck!

Completed and 100% achievements in just over 3 hours - funnily enough the only few achievements i had to grind were to mine the base asteroid a few more times and craft some of the base components. Very fun little game (recommended by watching Haelian on YT), that scratches the itch of incremental-style games. Works flawlessly on steam deck.
