Great Solitaire game. Many achievements to keep you going if you want those as your goal. I am still working on one last one at the moment. This game and the DLC are well worth it. As you can see I have gotten 68 hours out of it so far and I suspect I will get another 3-4 doing the final achievement. Easily worth the price IMO.

Faerie Solitaire Remastered, developed and published by Subsoap, is a refined and expanded edition of a cult-favorite indie card game that successfully merges classic solitaire mechanics with light RPG progression and a whimsical fantasy theme. Rather than reinventing card gameplay, it takes the familiar structure of tri-peaks–style solitaire and enriches it with a sense of adventure, collection, and steady advancement. The result is a surprisingly deep and content-rich experience built on an accessible foundation. At its mechanical core, the game follows straightforward solitaire rules: players clear cards by selecting those that are one rank higher or lower than the active card, creating sequences until the board is empty or no moves remain. This simplicity makes it easy to learn within minutes. However, beneath that familiar surface lies a layered progression system that gradually enhances the experience. Completing hands rewards players with resources and unlocks that contribute to a larger goal—restoring balance to a magical world and raising enchanted faerie companions. The campaign structure is more expansive than it initially appears. The adventure mode spans multiple themed regions, each containing numerous hands to complete. As players progress, new mechanics are introduced, including special cards that require strategic planning, locked cards that must be cleared in specific ways, and layout variations that demand careful sequencing. These additions ensure that the gameplay evolves gradually rather than remaining static. While each individual hand is short, the sheer number of them creates a long-form progression arc. One of the most distinctive features is the pet-raising system. Players hatch, nurture, and evolve magical creatures as they advance through the campaign. These companions are not merely cosmetic; they tie into the reward structure and provide a sense of long-term progression. Unlocking new pets and completing their growth cycles adds motivation beyond simply clearing cards. This system transforms solitaire from a purely score-driven exercise into something more narrative and collection-focused. Visually, the remastered edition significantly improves upon the original. Card clarity is sharper, backgrounds are more detailed, and the user interface is cleaner and more responsive. The fantasy aesthetic—complete with glowing forests, mystical landscapes, and softly animated elements—supports the tone without overwhelming the clarity of gameplay. The art style leans toward charm and readability rather than spectacle, ensuring that long sessions remain comfortable. In addition to the main campaign, the game offers optional challenge modes that cater to players seeking greater difficulty. These modes introduce stricter constraints or more complex layouts, providing meaningful variation once the core adventure has been completed. Achievement tracking and stat monitoring further encourage replayability for players who enjoy optimizing their runs or completing every available objective. Despite its strengths, repetition is inherent to the genre. Even with hundreds of hands and layered progression systems, the underlying mechanic remains solitaire. For many players, this repetition is meditative and satisfying. For others, it may feel predictable over extended play sessions. The key to enjoyment lies in appreciating the rhythm of incremental progress rather than expecting dramatic mechanical shifts. What makes Faerie Solitaire Remastered particularly effective is its balance between accessibility and depth. New players can engage casually, clearing a few hands at a time, while completionists can dive into full pet collections and higher difficulty challenges. The pacing of unlocks feels measured, ensuring that rewards arrive steadily without overwhelming the player early on. Ultimately, Faerie Solitaire Remastered is a polished and content-rich casual game that elevates traditional solitaire through thoughtful layering of progression and thematic charm. It succeeds not by complicating its mechanics, but by framing them within a rewarding structure of exploration, collection, and gentle challenge. For players who appreciate relaxing card gameplay paired with fantasy progression systems, it stands as one of the more complete and satisfying entries in the casual solitaire genre. Rating: 8/10

It's good if you enjoy this kind of game. Don't really like that the base game shows all the DLC content you can't get.

Very good Solitaire game. The DLC gives you more challenges and achievements. I have been playing the base game for many years now and I still come back to it just to relax while listening to a podcast. I was very surprised to see that they made a DLC for it after the Remasterd version and that's just great! Thank you very much.
