as a yandere enjoyer this game is so good!! I definitely recommend this if you prefer dark contents and like yanderes in general ^^ the prequel is also really amazing and I recommend to play that as well, I love the secret character so much <33

I played all of it with the English patch (you can get [url=https://eifiedreemurr.itch.io/folie-fatale-english-fan-patch] here! ) and used some guides to get all endings! Fair warning for all who want to play: The game's content warnings are serious! Do not play if the topics make you uncomfortable. Overall, GREAT GAME!!!!! I enjoyed it a lot. If you like dark otome, this is perfect. I found most of the routes to be of perfect length, not too long but not too short. I've played a lot of otome, so I am used to save/loading so I think I finished the game much quicker than most... What I really thought was unique about this game were the 3 types of endings. Using the fan-translated terms: Madness (pink), Unease (blue) and Remission (balanced) are amazing ideas for endings for these types of guys. Madness being a full compliance and acceptance of their insanity, Unease being a denial of their problems leading to them getting worse in a different way, and Remission, an understanding and hope for them to become better. In a way, I thought it was really realistic with all the different ways their issues were handled. My only real complaints are ???'s route, and that some "remission" endings could've been longer and weren't very satisfying. HELLO PUBLISHER/DEVS, WE LOVE YOUR GAMES!!!! Please consider making an English translation for your future games!!! Or this one too.. I would love to see a canon translation and would 100% play it all over again! Even if you don't, I WILL find a fan translation and support you!! I will be on diligent watch for any new releases! My ratings for the routes: [*]Mashiro Kanoe- 10/10 by far my FAVORITE of all of the routes. A shame I played it first as this route was SO GOOD that it made the others seem worse in comparison lmao. Though, that might just be me... [*]Kanada Ren- 4/10 Leaned way too much into the 'psychic' portion for my taste.. Wanted more of the "stalker" things, I thought that's what he was about!!! [*]Sakuraba Touri- 8/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUUUUDE [*]Hibiya Lito- 8/10 precious. Not really my type, but I like him anyway [*]Ushigome Haruki- 8/10 I wish his route were longer, but I really liked him anyway. [*]?????- 2/10 I did NOT like how much his route depended on having played the previous game.. I had no idea this was technically a sequel... :( I would play it.. If you like interesting yandere story with a good underlying plot, then please play this game. I spent coutless hours trying to get all the endings +DLC It made my heart scream and also sometimes my jaw drop to the floor. Also the music is really good and the CGs are so PREMIUM like stunning my LI ranking: 1. haruki 2. Mashiro 3. Karasu (may need to play the prequel game to understand) I really enjoyed his DLC story 4. Rito 5. Kanda 6. Touri There are a lot of TW in this game for a heads up. I also really wish this game was voiced (I hope in the near future)

Great otome game with an interesting concept! I played the Japanese version and completed all the endings in about 15 hours. The routes are fairly short and it's easy to clear without a guide thanks to the gauge. (However some endings are not accessible before clearing other ones.) All characters are more or less "yandere" or at least red flags, but each in a very unique way. The game also has a general plot linking all the routes together, so I would recommend clearing all the endings to get the full picture. (Also Lito = best boi.)
