This game… sat in my wishlist for a decade, I guess. I know I love solitaire games, and yet for all these years I’ve been hesitant because of all conflicting reviews I’d read and those questionable RPG elements that I just couldn’t reconcile with the basic concept of FreeCell. What can I say now, after I finally bought it and tossed aside all those fancy AAA titles I had downloaded and was planning to play… Well, it’s a rough dope. You need to get used to some of the slightly restrictive rules first, collect a few levels and spells to ease the pain of dealing with what are presumably impossible card layouts… And once you're in the flow, there are about 500 more rounds to go before you conquer (or “free”, as liberals like to say) the whole map. All in all, I can’t recommend this game to anyone but solitaire fans. And even if you are a fan, there’s still a 50/50 coin toss chance you’ll either get hooked or get frustrated by FreeCell Quest’s rhythm and its main “magical” mechanic. That said, I can finally slap my biased 7/10 on it and be gone for good. The one thing I’m certain of is that I enjoyed it plenty while it lasted - but I don’t want to come back here any time soon.

Very nice and relaxing game! The amount of depth is as I prefer it. Not too complicated and not too simple. I enjoy it a lot! It is a Freecel based game, but with lite RPG elements, adventure and progress. Good effort!
