I really like this game but it does have a pretty good learning curve to it. It took me a while to not always crash when trying to land. I haven't gotten vary far in the game because I am constantly having to restart the game. Mostly because of the way you lose and then have to re get the cargo at the point where you lost it and sometimes that is impossible. I have used a controller plus throttle and joystick with this game I am not sure if it is just my throttle and joystick but I find it a little easier with a controller. Even with those problems I have mentioned I still really like this game. My biggest problem with the game is they won't further the game with expansion packs or dlc. It would be nice to see more things to fly and more planets to go to oh well. remember this is just my experience with the game yours might be better or worse. In conclusion I would recommend this game to others,

I'm super on the fence about recommending this to most people, as you are really thrown into the deep end with the physics and flight models. It can also take a while to actually get enough credits to buy anything useful. Many other reviews talk about bugs, but I haven't experienced any yet. Overall I would recommend it to people who have prior experience with flight sims, and have a solid chunk of time to spend learning the controls and progressing through the campaign.

Frontier Pilot Simulator is one of those rare hidden gem indie games that manage to create a truly unique experience. It offers a solid flight model that's both fun and believable, while staying much more accessible and friendly to the general public compared to hardcore simulators like X-Plane or Microsoft Flight Simulator. Frontier Pilot Simulator feels like SnowRunner on VTOL planes - you get the same satisfaction from completing tricky deliveries, battling difficult weather, and managing your cargo, while soaring through alien skies filled with unexpected dangers and strange creatures. The Sci-Fi setting features a catchy storyline, and some missions really pull you in. However, a few caveats are worth mentioning: - The graphics, while still enjoyable, you may notice it is a little bit dated and not very well optimized. - To really enjoy the flight experience, you’ll need at least a good controller - playing on a keyboard can be frustrating and won't deliver the feel of flight. - Some quests can't be restarted, and failure may block your progress without clear documentation or second chances, which can be discouraging. - Sadly, the game is quite short and has reached its EOL, meaning no future updates are expected. Despite these flaws, Frontier Pilot Simulator delivers a one-of-a-kind flying experience that deserves more attention. It's a good entry point into the world of flight simulators. I hope more games like this will be created in the future.

Great game if you like challenging flight dynamics and a eurotruck sim-like experience along with a bit of a background story line. Works great on desktop and the Steam Deck, but the only issue is that it requires an internet connection to play. Dev please fix this requirement, it's a great game for the Steam Deck but the internet requirement really gets in the way.
