This visual novel reminds me how it has the same feel and visuals Bocchi The Rock the anime has, it closely resembles it, and the amount of wacky and silly scenes stretched out in each episode. It even surprised me with elements I didnt expect to have like, subtle bloody scenes. And yeah just check it out for yourself, its worth it if you like wacky, funny, kinda cozy, stuff. Overall 10/10 for me

Hard to fully evaluate the story before season II is released. Until the end of season I, the narrative feels more like a collection of fragments than a complete story. ( And Clara’s suffering makes me sick— I struggle to see any purpose behind it beyond the writer’s questionable taste.) Aside from the story, the visual and audio are distinctive and excellent. The style of this visual novel reminds me of early 2000s video recordings, especially when playing with my steamdeck, it was a really a novelty experience. Still, I’d recommend waiting until season II is released before deciding whether to buy.

Ghostpia is a beautiful denshi glitchy art style that's simply gorgeous to watch as a visual novel, however, I never felt like I fully understood character motivations before I was whisked off to the next scene or episode. While there may be motives for Clara's treatment later on after the characters make certain discoveries, earlier motivations for Clara's horrible treatment are just cruel for the sake of the characters being annoyed by her (which I guess most things would if you live forever). I hope more is revealed in season 2 as at times it felt like I was spending 9,999 years just trudging through information with no idea whether it would be relevant or was simply a throw away detail. The connection between Yoru and Sayoko pulled me through to the end along with Pacifica's character arc, but for such a highly rated Steam VN, I wish more than the art style felt impressive to from this first season. 5/10

OK. SO. I've never written a review for a game before (not exactly the best writer) but just wanted to help convince anyone snooping through reviews to GET THE GAME! There wasn't a single moment while playing that I felt bored despite my total of 14 hours playtime. Ultimately decided to get some sleep but very nearly played it all in one sitting. This game is amusing, introspective, unpredictable, adorable, unsettling, and beautiful both audibly and visually. The character are well fleshed-out and each have their own flaws. Looking forward to season 2!
