Usually gotta drink about 3 bottles of Benadryl before seeing the Gnomes. This game achieves that for much less. Gnome enjoyers of the world rejoice Very good TD game. Requires some smarts. Feels like a thinking man's PvZ, with similar laning, funnelling strategies at play, but with far more customisability. Graphics are lo-fi but sharp. Great soundtrack.

This is one of the tighter and more thoughtful Tower Defense games I've played. Very minimalist and very clever. The ability to direct enemy waves using tile effects and the ability of enemy waves to affect the map as the game progresses are both interesting features. I bought it for something like $5 when it was on sale and it was well worth not only the dollar investment - which isn't particularly relevant for a working adult anymore - but rather, was worth the time investment in learning how to play the game, which is far more precious. It's enjoyable to pick up, play a few rounds, and then put down. It's satisfying to be able to enjoy a game in such a compact experience.

Pretty fun game but do not expect to 100% it. Very sweaty endgame. Going cross-eyed from planting 10,000 cactuses and then still not beating the level is what it looks like. Edit: Since this review is getting more attention I feel like I have to say this game is pretty awesome! Updated all the time, devs are pretty cool, custom engine, runs on a potato, and the vibes are chill (of course until endgame), Lots of strategies to try out. Absolutely worth a buy at full price and a missed opportunity on sale.

The gameplay is soo addicting. However what grips me the most, is the soundtrack. Big props to the composer, I can't explain just how magical and fitting it is. Great tower defense game all around! you can landscape the map to turn it into your ideal battleground. It's totally worth it for the price, especially if it's on sale! for 5 bucks? that's seriously such a steal.
