I like the concept of this game but the risk-reward ratio implementation ain't working in this game for me, might come back later if the devs update some stuff or I feel like losing an hour of progress from a single curse mob is good fun. Still feel that the game might be right up someone's alley.

This is a solid game overall, especially if you enjoy stealth-based gameplay. The main idea is simple: sneak around, steal items, and try not to get caught. If that sounds like your kind of playstyle, you’ll probably have a good time with it. As you play, you can upgrade your mask to get boosts and perks that make sneaking and stealing easier. There are different difficulty modes too—personally, I tried the bold mode (basically hard mode), and it’s really tough to upgrade in that setting. I think easy mode is better for most players, but if you like a challenge, the harder modes will definitely test you. The core gameplay loop is stealing items and then selling them, where you can even haggle your way to making more money. You can also hire workers to steal for you, which is a cool feature and helps you progress faster. That said, there are some frustrating parts. One big issue is that you can’t go back to previous floors. Once you move on, you’re stuck there. This caused a problem for me when one of my hired workers (a goblin I paid 1 coin) died—I thought I could go back and save them, but you can’t. That really needs to be fixed. It would be great if workers lasted longer or if you could return to earlier stages to rescue them. Another warning: when you see BOLD mode, just know it’s basically hard mode. The modes below that are even worse—honestly, they feel like “extreme” or “hell” difficulty. Only pick those if you’re okay with struggling and possibly going into heavy debt. Speaking of debt, there’s also a greedy banker who shows up every 4 days. If you don’t pay, it might be game over (I’m not 100% sure yet, but it seems that way). The pressure is real, especially when upgrades get expensive—like 4,000 coins for a third upgrade. The difficulty balancing definitely needs some work. What I liked: Fun stealth gameplay loop Upgrades and progression system Hiring workers adds strategy No lag, runs smoothly What I didn’t like: Can’t go back to previous floors Workers die too easily with no way to save them Difficulty feels unbalanced Not much customization (no skins, clothes, or store upgrades) Limited interaction (no combat options at all) I also wish there were more customization options—like changing your character’s look or upgrading your store visually. Right now it feels a bit plain, but the game definitely has potential if the developers add more content. Final Thoughts: If you like stealth games where you avoid enemies instead of fighting them, it’s worth trying. Just be prepared for some frustrating moments, especially with the difficulty and progression. Ratings: Game: 8/10 (for now) Fun: 7/10 Performance: No lag, runs well Story: Decent (you’re paying off debt, but it’s not very detailed) Overall: 7/10 Recommendation: Play it if the gameplay sounds interesting to you. It’s not perfect, but it’s a fun change of pace and has a lot of potential if it gets more updates.

The Swindle. Moonlighter. Recettear. If any of these games brings you joy, I would say give it a try. I am loving it so far, I love the aesthetic, a lot of the design choices, I have died to my surprise many times playing on the Greedy difficulty but having a fantastic time with it, it feels like the more I play the more it unfolds and I have to consider things far more carefully than I initially thought. The difficulty, gameplay and music are all excellent. I think some of the sound effects could do with adjusting e.g.. there is a fart sound that while funny a couple of times, playing every time you dash forwards is a bit grating. The story is fine, its mostly just there similar to Recettear or Moonlighter its background fluff to move the gameplay along. I think this game does the danger/theft/stealth systems better than The Swindle though, but it does remind me of it a lot at times. Overall I really love this game, my main hope is that the devs introduce an endless/random options/elements to further runs because the crafted levels are done very well but I can see them possibly becoming stale in time and some kind of endless shifting layout endgame would add a world of content to this otherwise excellent game.

Played the demo over and over until it was unavaliable. I absolutely adore this game. The mechanics are very easy to learn and while its more of a stealth game I tend to just try to kill the skelies with traps. The sound track is delightful and I enjoy playing this a lot!

Early thumbs up mostly based around initial gameplay. The game is a pretty decent idea executed fairly well. If you played Recettear (Capitalism Ho!) then you have a good idea how the game works. Explore a handcrafted dungeon by night to steal and/or loot items from corpses as you delve deeper and deeper for higher quality items. Enemies have set patrols and actions that you have to figure out how to navigate past or lure into traps to kill them. There are periodic checkpoints that you can use to teleport back to your shop and later resume your dungeon diving. And you'll need to do this often because your bag isn't bottomless so pick and choose the best items while also have a variety to suit the needs of your customers. There are shortcuts via locked doors and elevators to aid in getting around. By day you sell off the loot you've found. You can accept the base offer or do some haggling to maximize profits. The haggling, at least initially, is pretty straightforward. You roll dice and add the number to your total. If it can get it in the 'green zone' you win. Go over and you fail. Once you start haggling you're in it until you succeed or fail. If you fail the customer will only pay a fraction of the initial asking price so gamble wisely! You'll also have the occasional townsfolk come in with a request. A loan-shark requires you to obtain a certain amount of gold periodically to pay off your (father's) debt and keep the shop.
