The only reason I recommend this game is because it's not a bad game and steam don't have a neutral option. Honestly this game is only get overwhelmingly positive because: 1. Cat. 2. Art direction. It's definitely not a 9/10 game, a 7/10 at best, 5/10 for the gameplay. It's neither a good action game or a good platformer, serviceable with nothing great about it. If you take one look at the achievement completion rate, you will notice that it has very low percentages, a lot of people didn't even finish the game let alone doing it again on hard mode. Combat is very simplistic, basic short string commands (XXX, XXY, etc...), it has no depth, what you see in the demo is what you will get, nothing more. Movement is alright, platforming is annoying more often than not, the charm wear off after 2h. Difficulty is pretty much non-exist, the highest difficulty is equal to Human mode in DMC 5 but boss fights get longer, the game is only 5-7h long if you don't care about 100%. The last 2 bosses on highest difficulty is absolute dogshit, they are just long tedious repetitive health gate gimmick fights, you just repeat the same things over and over and over until the boss finally die, another case of classic "hard" mode where it's just annoying, not hard. Your skills don't matter at all because the game will just stop you from doing damage at certain thresholds, there's nothing you can do to kill the boss faster. The same case can be made for Bayonetta 1 on hard and beyond but at least your skills matters in Bayo 1 and the combat has more depth. Simplistic combat system thrives on shorter fights, repeating the same gimmick twice in a fight is already too much let alone thrice. I hope the devs learnt something from this game and improves the combat in their next game if there's gonna be one. For what it's worth the combat does feel smooth, often time Western devs don't know how to make melee combat feel smooth, there's always some jankiness unlike Eastern devs i.e. Capcom with MonHun & DMC or PlatinumGames, hell a lot of companies can't even nail Souls-like combat, one of the most basic combat system ever.

Whoever did the music for this snapped like crazy, The sound track is ambitious and well executed, most of it is a genre-mash of dubstep/DnB and metal with evil toy sounding melodies. Hoverboarding Cat Fighting Unicorns is fun asf. This game isn't over ambitious and delivers on gameplay, the story and voice acting is great. Whoever directed this game did a great job.

This game man-- it reminds of the PS2 golden era of gaming, where games were made to be fun. And this game fucking delivers it in a wind-up box with C4 strapped to it, ready to blow confetti in your face. Such an amazing cast of characters, all incredibly voice acted. An awesome story that builds past protocols, with comic strip cutscenes that fit narrative insanely. Every level, more and more new stuff is thrown at you until it culminates in the final level, testing all that you have learn into one epic boss fight. TL;DR Don't buy this game on a sale. Buy it full price! The devs earned it.

Amazing hidden gem of 2024 Silly and chaotic adventure that feels like a love letter to old xbox 360 games like Lolipop Chainsaw where games just focused on being fun over being the next big thing. Absolutely loving my play through of this and is well worth grabbing a copy. Hope the devs make a second game

only a half hour in and already some of the most fun I've have in a long time with a game! The visuals, game play, and just overall vibe are so good. Cant wait to play more, and also it runs great on the deck :)
