April 2025
It’s honestly a bit tragic to watch how fast this game went from “could be a masterpiece” to “whoops, we forgot to finish it.” As I’m writing this, there are a staggering 20 players online, while hundreds of thousands own the game. The core idea had so much potential, like an underdog story that ended up being a cautionary tale. Let’s talk about matchmaking. I’ve never seen a game work so hard to make progress feel impossible. Imagine being a level 2 player tossed into a match with a level 15—it's like being a toddler in a ring with a professional wrestler. You get obliterated before you even blink. It wasn’t just frustrating, it made the story feel like a cruel joke. Why even try to progress if every match is rigged? And if you think that’s bad, don’t even get me started on the lack of anti-cheat. It felt like cheaters were the VIPs, walking right in like they owned the place. There was zero protection against them, and honestly, it felt like the developers didn’t even notice—or worse, didn’t care. It’s like inviting the worst people to your party and wondering why it’s so ruined. I genuinely loved the idea when I first played the alpha. PvP + PvE, a dark atmosphere, survival mechanics that gave me a thrill—until matchmaking and cheaters destroyed it all. I wanted to love it, I really did. But the developers couldn’t be bothered to give it the attention it needed. It’s like they started a cake and forgot to put it in the oven. QUALIFICATION 8/10 FASTER DIE

The devs knew why they were adding singleplayer mode. They knew the game was dying fast. So I at least appreciate the possibility to still be able to play the game even when steamcharts read ZERO PLAYERS ACTIVE . My only wish is to implement coop with singleplayer. Sure, it's in multiplayer but for that you need opponents too. As for the gameplay, it's quite fun. It's a well executed "hotline miami as a extraction shooter" idea and it can keep you playing for a good while. I've been startled many times by not players but the so called "Things" aswell and usually each round had me making up few preplannings before venturing into the town. Unsure what to add here, good game. Play or not, but consider it for singleplayer only, multiplayer is long dead.

I really feel like I'm looking at a bunch of whiny babies when I see all the negative reviews. I haven't even touched the multiplayer (maybe I did once when I bought it) and it's obviously worth its pricetag, at worst get it on a sale if your pockets are as thin as mine (pretty sure I picked it up 50% off). If you are like me and played Bioshock and thought "Man it would be super cool to have some kind of non-linear rapture that I could explore, maybe as a splicer, and spend more of my time looking for cool loot." They pretty much answered my prayers. Particularly when they added singleplayer. The game is a cool concept with great art, it plays pretty smoothly, and it's fun. It has a nice charm. Admittedly if you're buying it for the multiplayer, you might be disappointed by the low (from what I hear, virtually non-existant) playerbase. Heck idk, maybe that could add to the spooky factor if I even do dive into multiplayer. Being honest the moment I saw this game I had a feeling multiplayer would die quickly, simply because I've seen it happen to many projects like this one. But the singleplayer experience is really neat. It's challenging and it has a good format. They put thought into it and it shows. Multiplayer I think was a very ambitious feature, let alone to be the focus and selling point. And that's how it was marketed. If they'd released this as a singleplayer game I bet you it would have only glowing reviews. But instead of being happy for the extra features and really taking a minute to examine all the pieces and parts of this game and recognizing that it's pretty robust considering the resources that likely went into it, people feel comfortable blasting it with thumbs down. These devs made something cool. Appreciate it for what it is. Stop being whiny babies.

As 2025 - MULTIPLAYER is dead (Europe server) The game is good for it's price You can play singleplayer (separated save-file) with bots, but they're make game much easier than playing against real players. They use only melee, when real players will shoot/nade/chop you Hope developers will release some mod-tools/SDK to improve this expierence by players I don't like roguelike(lite)s without multiplayer, BUT that's not a roguelike at all That's TRUE extraction action. Where you MUST loot to survive and lose everything (expect 1 slot in pockets) on death Interesting mechanics, great visual, nice atmosphere. Hope developers will create something simillar in future This expierience so deep, gives you new game feelings
