This was such a fun and enjoyable game to play after working each day - the animations were cute and surprising and the levels were challenging but didn't make you feel like giving up. The black and white visuals actually make it easier on the eyes when playing (i.e. less visual noise/distractions in an already visually rich game) so the overall experience of playing the game is calming and relaxing. This is actually the only game I've ever finished - that's how much I enjoyed playing it. I'm hoping if I wait long enough I'll forget enough of the game that it will feel brand new when I play it again. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing/cozy game.

CONS: - Causes eye fatigue relatively quickly. - Exhausting after a short time. Text Review: Hidden Folks, a video game that's not supposed to be eaten whole but instead chewed and tasted. The game concept is similar to the book "Where's Waldo?" but without colors and far more interactive. It contains many levels requiring the player to read text clues to find a person, animal, or object. The sound art is good but it becomes annoying and exhausting after a short time. The visual art is simple yet very cozy. According to the game's description, it was all hand-drawn. Although the visual art is good and made with love, it caused me eye fatigue relatively quickly. Despite causing me eye fatigue, it's a great title for 10 to 20 minute long sessions. As I've said before, this game is supposed to be cherished and not devoured. Overall, I consider it to be a casual and relaxing video game. This line is for the achievement hunters. If you follow a guide it's very easy, but if you try to do it by yourself it can be of medium difficulty to obtain 100% of Steam achievements. There aren't any grinding processes. Recommendation: I acknowledge the love that the developers have put into the game, but I think that for the price I paid it's overrated. Although I recommend it, wait and get it with a significant discount. Rating - 70/100 Review Date - 30/03/2026
This game is such a joy. I remember picking it up a few years ago and giving up almost immediately. Then I randomly tried it again a few days ago … and honestly, it’s taught me patience, humility, and the uncomfortable truth that I can’t seem to see anything unless it smacks me right in the face. :D
