A "game" about building houses. It's a pretty robust and cheap software to use. The DLC isn't really necessary as it just lets you build on another floor and adds 100 decoration items. Compared to SketchUp, it's a cheaper, dedicated software that's less robust. It's more expansive than Sims, and isn't EA Slopware. Is it difficult and unintuitive to use? Yes. Is it handy? Also yes. It even has the ability to export the house as a model file to port into a modelling software of your choosing. If you need to redesign a couple rooms or just need a cheap piece of software to build scenes inside of buildings, it's pretty handy. Unfortunately, this software does not have Workshop compatibility, meaning it's exponentially harder to port custom models in, especially since it does not like to read foreign model files. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to port new textures, as it can read straight PNG files. Pros: •Robust for its price •Relatively bug free •Pretty sure it could run on potatoes •Expansive on its capabilities •Relatively easy to get in to •Day/Night cycle that can compensate for seasonal yaw deviance •Copying objects are saved between maps, meaning you can copy object layouts, open a new map, and paste them Cons: •The bugs that are present are mildly annoying at best.(CONT LATER) •The software is very picky •It has a set-in-stone ruleset that has a learning curve •Not Workshop compatible •No tutorial •Not very intuitive •Janky learning curve Bugs of note: •If you work in feet and inches, the system recognizes 10" as one foot, but does recognize 11" as under a foot. It will also recognize 12" as a foot. This is likely a bug stemming from the Metric system, since it's an option •The game WILL crash here and there, likely due to an overflow of sorts. It usually happens when you accidentally double click on a map file, and seemingly attempts to load the map twice. Fortunately this game seems to constantly save the map every time an object is placed or edited, so virtually no progress is lost Gripes: •No tutorial, meaning you have to do trial and error, or need a youtube tutorial •No Workshop compatibility •Settings are very limited. It doesn't even have graphics options if your PC can't run it for some odd reason •No controls window. Granted, there's only 12 odd buttons that do anything •The Human models are laughably bad •There's no way to put in precise measurements when scaling objects, just rudimentary 6 axis squash and stretch pullers •Importing map files and textures is kind of a pain •It is for some reason ungodly complicated to get this game to read imported model files

Good buildt simulation, you can custamize everything in this game, there are good features but unfortunately no tutorial. You have to figure out everything on your own, what isn't too difficult. You have the option to change between 3D and 2D. In 2D you see the blueprint and you can change positions, costumizing you should do in 3D mode because its easier. All together a good Simulation. Could also help a real interior designer, I think, to get used to 2D blueprints etc.

I used this for planning out my new flat. I like how easy it was to just start making room by room and being able to walk inside in 3D mode to get a feeling of the space. I would like to change camera lens to a wider view and also be able to open doors. It might be possible, but I have not figured it out yet.

As far as palette options, the app provides a decent range of assets to choose from, as well as a few templates. A feature I didn't expect to see here is the ability to view your setup in different times of day or seasons, which is pretty neat in terms of lighting and east/west configuration. Controls are a bit clunky, could definitely do with some options to allow rebinding or hotkeys. I don't like how looking around in first-person view requires holding down left click while left click and drag to move objects is still enabled. I also wish it was possible to customize camera pan/zoom/walk speed. So far, I haven't found a way to place / move items other than to click and drag, which is a bit tedious in situations requiring more precision. Being able to type in how or where something should be applied would be a great add. All in all, it's a decent builder for the price if you can get used to the controls.
