I saw someone stream this game recently which got me to try it out. All I can say is this game was NOT what I was expecting. Spoilers ahead, you were warned. I thought it was going to be some cutesy little streamer white knight game. Then I got what I imagine everyone gets as their first ending, Mio being killed by a stalker. That blew my mind. Then got the good ending but not true ending which gave me a drive to see what the true ending was. I saw I needed to go pure hater route so started that. The true hater route literally KILLED me inside, I literally felt disgusting and nearly cried which NO GAME in recent years has done. Watching Mio, this sweet girl that, like she's said, is lonely and just wants to have friends, be bullied until she becomes suicidal just to make it end was extremely painful to watch. I think its beyond messed up they made this required to get the true ending in the game, but seems that was the point. The true ending was beautiful imo. Its obvious both Ryosuke and Nana (Your character and Mio) are falling in love with each other, but when the big reveal happens, its sweet both sides are right and wrong. Mio it makes sense would be HAPPY Niki is gone, she was going psycho and was going to ruin Mio for no real reason, and she simply just stopped talking to her, she didn't tell Niki to off herself, but even then Mio still knows Niki was still your sister you loved and has some remorse. Ryosuke while pissed his sister died and in a ways Mio did cause it, he does understand it wasn't really her fault, who wouldn't do something similar? The sad fact is this was entirely on Niki, her actions lead to this and only she can be blamed for her ending. Its sweet they get together and the very last picture, at least to me, the ring Mio wears symbolizes they are engaged. They both had it rough but they found each other. I have like half the endings and not sure I can bring myself to get the other half, pretty sure they are all stalker and hater endings and while I doubt they are as bad as the suicide one. To me, I want the True ending to be truly the end. I'd love if this game gets a sequel or a dlc. I'd love to see a continuation of their story together and what challenges they would face. Also AMAZING music.
My short review after getting 100% completion: This night was rough… but I finally pushed through and completed the game on 100%. Am I satisfied? — Yeah, definitely. The game is absolutely worth both the money and the time. Some achievements were honestly pretty hard (I mean the routes), so yeah, I had to spend a bit of time on YouTube. But that’s not the point. Here’s my verdict: Romance — 7–8/10 Creepiness — 7/10 (for a visual novel, of course) Art — 8–9/10 Overall concept — 9/10 (9 because it’s my first VN in this type of “streaming” genre) Story — 7/10 Number of glitches per pixel — 99999999/99999999 And just to clarify — this is only my subjective opinion.
