From an indie dev, this game is a great simulator experience. However; this game would have such a steep learning curve due to the mechanics that aren't explained well and a dysfunctional tutorial. Please get a friend to teach you this game instead.

The game is getting better. The Academy (Tutorial) is useless. It might help get a little information but not a lot. The game is glitchy sometimes; and pumping water is a trial of experimentation. While I appreciate most of the realism; the idea that you start a "shift" with a truck that is empty of water is totally off the charts. In the real world, a truck crew would be suspended for leaving apparatus unable to immediately respond at the beginning of the next shift. Driving is pretty sensitive; and the GPS is okay. As in every one of these open world First Responder games; the NPC traffic is completely weird. Game shows great improvements of the time I've had it, and I expect that the improvements will keep coming. Yes it has some problems, and Yup! the game has frustrated me to the point of anger many times, but it's playable and once you figure out all the wonky crap it can be very enjoyable.

This game is very fun to play with your friends and others. I would HIGHLY recommend it for everyone to play. Very great detail and amazing realism. Honestly IMO, this is way better than EmergeNYC.

As a Firefighter myself, I have to say this game is as close to what we do as I've ever seen. It's a Firefighter simulator more than it is a game, so it's probably not going to capture the attention of combat FPS gamers, but this is definitely fun. Every aspect of Firefighting is touched on...right down to the small details. The graphics? Eh.....they're ok. But I recommend this game to anyone who'd like to experience a slice of what a Firefighter does or how we feel....but I can imagine that playing with other like-minded players would make every emergency easier. Buy it...ou won't be sorry (and plus....cops already have a lot of games for their profession).
