I would definitely recommend this game even though this game is three years old and not relatively mainstream. My reasoning for this is that, there is always at least one game going that is more than half full of players (actual people, not bots), it is really fun and probably the only good ww1 game in this genre with a healthy player base, other than Battlefield 1 of course. Teamwork plays a large roll in this game, so if you like strategy and communicating to achieve a goal, this game is for you. My only one negative about this game is that, at first, the skill gap as a new player is pretty noticeable, but this clears up as your skill and character level increases. For a better review, just check pretty much any youtube review, but in particular, IGN has a good one that i watched before buying this game. one final note is that due to the fact that Galipeoli is coming out in 2026, this game at £30 may not seem 100% worth it, my recommendation is to buy it on sale, as it frequently does. Hope this review helped.

It's fun but the weapon unlock system sucks. Edit: you can go through the unlock progression offline against bots and it's still fun against bots.

Izonzo is a great game, though sometimes player count can be low at non-peak times. It has it's shares of bugs but overall great, this franchise has 2 other games set in different fronts, which has a negative effect where all 3 games have player count issues, it would astronomically increase player count if they simply combined all 3 games and like battlefield would have either a vote or randomized front once the operation is over. Great game, needs to be heard by the devs

I love the fact that even after the game dies you can even play the whole series in singleplayer battles however i believe that the devs should make the ai smarter and also combine the games into 1 big title.

I don't play many FPS's but I absolutely love this game. My top reasons for recommending are: 1. The mature player base. This is not some shiny shooter for little kids that want purple laser guns and marvel skins. 2. Mature objective and rewards system. It's not about kills/deaths ratio - you can still get killed more than you kill and get the most points. It's about dying doing the right thing for the collective good of the team. 3. The realism - after playing this game you won't be fantasising about being an action hero in WWI... quite the opposite, you'll be glad you never had to go through that hell (and that your chances of survival were slim to non) and can experience the brutality of it from the comfort of your nice warm home whilst sipping a cup of tea.
