Izonzo is a great game, though sometimes player count can be low at non-peak times. It has it's shares of bugs but overall great, this franchise has 2 other games set in different fronts, which has a negative effect where all 3 games have player count issues, it would astronomically increase player count if they simply combined all 3 games and like battlefield would have either a vote or randomized front once the operation is over. Great game, needs to be heard by the devs

I love the fact that even after the game dies you can even play the whole series in singleplayer battles however i believe that the devs should make the ai smarter and also combine the games into 1 big title.

The game is fantastic, the only problem is that every new game splits the playerbase more and more. please, please compact this, Verdun, and Tannenburg into a single game so that the playerbase can be unified.

It's easily the best iteration of the three games in the series (Verdun, Tannenburg and then this) and it really is fantastic. Even the way they designed the vertical portions of certain maps works fairly well. I only wish they would remake Verdun and Tannenberg to fit seamlessly into this iteration, then you'd truly have the ultimate WW1 shooter of all times. Still, as is, I wholeheartedly recommend this!

I saw one short video on Youtube that reviewed the mountaineers climbing on mountains with picks, and the enemy throwing ROCKS at the climbers, and I instantly logged in to Steam and bought the game. To my surprise, that has been a temporary feature that wasn't available anymore, but would perhaps be included again. Disappointed, I went on and started to explore the game. The dynamics of this game is very different than any other FPS I have played so far. I love how most bullets kill you instantly and how you have to rely on your scope and rifle instead of a crosshair. The shouts and screams of soldiers increase the desperate feeling of an average soldier in WW1. I was almost giving up playing the game since I was like a walking target in any game I played, until this one game where I climbed a mountain and started sniping everyone from atop. After 20-30 kills, I was wondering if the people I played online with changed as time progressed into the night. Then I realised Isonzo servers are populated with bots when there are not enough human players :') Anyway, that was what kept me in the game as I could now practice my skills and get better at the game. Almost 30 hours into the game, I love playing the game. It's not only about killing each other mindlessly - sometimes you have to deliberately sacrifice yourself in order to defuse a bomb. Sometimes it's relying on your bayonet when you run out of bullets, because the reload time takes forever. And sometimes you will get entangled in the barbed wires and start bleeding out. The different roles really improve the gameplay. Officer is a really key element, and the team need to communicate and coordinate to achieve the strategy as a whole. You can kill everyone you see until you run out of bullets, but still lose the game. Now all these things said, the game does get old. The shouts need more variation. I have a gaming laptop ( shame! ) and play BF1 just fine, but with this game I need to juggle performance and graphics so that I can have a decent playing experience. If you are into realistic gameplay and WW1, do not miss this game. I do enjoy the game still, and sometimes I deliberately pick empty servers to play against bots to feel competent. Cut me some slack, I am over 30 and cannot compete with you kids anymore. Not much of a review writer, but I feel this game deserves a comment.
