Picked this up again on Steam after already getting the Platinum on PlayStation VR, and somehow it was still just as fun the second time around. The humour in this game is honestly perfect for VR. Every job is packed with goofy little interactions, chaotic physics and that weird “robots trying to recreate human jobs” energy that never stops being funny. Half the fun is just messing around and seeing what the game lets you get away with. The main game itself is fairly short, consisting of 4 different jobs, but honestly that works in its favour. It makes Job Simulator a really good game to start your VR experience with since it’s easy to understand, comfortable to play and instantly entertaining. It’s also pretty easy to get all of the achievements if you enjoy going for 100%. I originally completed everything on PlayStation VR, including the Platinum, but decided to buy it again on Steam and it was absolutely worth it. The game still feels fresh because there’s so much replayability, especially with Infinite Overtime giving you endless extra tasks and random situations to mess with. Even after finishing it once already, I still found myself laughing at stupid moments and wasting way more time than I planned just throwing objects around or making the worst possible food orders imaginable. And now I’ve got another huge trophy sitting in my SteamVR room, so I’d say it was worth doing all over again. Still one of the best “show people VR” games and one of the most entertaining VR experiences out there.
JOB SIMULATOR , is an incredible introductory VR game. It would be one of the first games I recommend to anyone who just picked up a VR headset. The world is seriously charming and the dialogue matches that perfectly. The mechanics are easy to understand and serves as a good way to familiarise yourself with VR motion. There is little movement so you don't have to deal with motion sickness however, because of lack of options the FOV can still induce it. The game is just series of a few "mini-games" that teach you ALL about employment in the real world. A 100% playthough is only a couple of hours long so beware of that price if you're expecting a decently lengthed game. There is an endless mode that was added which is technically infinite gameplay if you want to participate in a second life where you also have a 9 to 5 job until you die. PROS : - Easy controls - Amazing writing - Endless mode - Charming artstyle CONS : - Can be motion sickness inducing - Very short Quite pricey but well worth if it you pick it up on a good sale.
