I was interested originally in Liberated because of the comic book design and noir art style. It's not something you see often in gaming. I ended up sticking around for a good story. The game is short and sweet at about 3.5 hours. The gameplay is rather generic where most of it is just some average shooting with minimal platforming. I enjoyed the story enough to finish it and recommend it for that though!

I wanted an interactive comic book and that's exactly what I got... and I LOVE IT. I wish the developers of LIBERATED made more interactive comic books like this one and put it on steam, I would buy it instantly! STRUCTURE If you are a fan of comic books and want a classic "rebellion against the system" story, this one is for YOU and you will definitely enjoy reading it. The comic book is divided into chapters and each chapter focuses on a different character - I appreciate that a lot because as you play through it, you get a glimpse into a variety of different points of view as well as characters' moral dilemmas and their train of thought. Devs wanted you to pay attention to what this story conveys rather than getting attached to one particular character and in my opinion this was a brilliant move and adds value to the universe you are thrown into. GAMEPLAY One of the main tags for LIBERATED is "comic book" and when I bought it, I was worried this would be more of a platform game stylized as a comic book with few dialogues but it is actually contrariwise - THEY DELIVERED. The gameplay is very sweet and simple, so you won't spend any time memorizing the "how to" allowing you to focus on reading. TLDR A comic book with a few interactive elements, simplified shooting and some quick puzzles.

Story is a bit "on the nose" but in these times everyone needs a punch in the nose. Gameplay is simple with some interesting puzzles nothing crazy challenging. Play for the story, great for fans of graphic novels like V for Vendetta or DMZ!
