It's fun, and keeps one hooked. "I'll release one more game then I'll quit, okay I'll research one more engine tech and update my game engine and then quit", goes on like this for hours. That said, the reality of game development is nothing like this. This is just a min/maxing game, collect more game "game points" and don't make stupid financial choices to stay afloat, that's the whole game, with a ton of small details on top. You can't be an indie developer, make a small game that's a smash hit and rake in millions. You always have to go bigger and bigger to collect more "game points". Every genre has a template you learn as you make games in that genre, a set of stats you set. And if you get close to that template stats, and the topic and genre is currently in trend, and you have enough bodies and budget to throw at the game to get more "game points", you get a 90%+ review guaranteed hit. Once you figure it out, the game stops being fun and starts feeling like you are making excel sheets, even in Legendary (highest) difficulty. I'm not gonna give it a not recommended, because I've wasted a ton of hours on this and it was mostly fun. If your expectations align with how I described the game, buy it.
I loved MGT1 when it came out, and now its completely unplayable because of how good this sequel is. very very close to perfection, to the point I have over 300 hours in the game and I know I'll be back to it again and again. Also make sure to grab the Realism Mod. 9/10 certified hit
