Pros: vertical sync is off by default, soundtrack fits the theme, “how to play” menu tutorial available, solid Mahjong game play, 1 standard & 3 custom tiles to choose from, score leader boards Cons: no borderless windowed mode, no advanced graphical options, only 4 background pictures to choose from, half way through the entire map pool & you will come across a nearly impossible puzzle to solve, linear map progression (you can’t play the next map unless you’ve beaten the previous) Overall, I bought this game on sale & have played 10 hours as of the writing of this review. I stopped playing when I came across a puzzle that is nearly impossible to solve without repeated trial & error (puzzle #39). Mahjong is a hit or miss
Cheap and simple mahjong (Shanghai) solitaire game, works great. Surprisingly addictive given all you do is match tiles. Its similar to the version that used to come with Windows 7/Vista. The game initially launched in French for me but other than that i've got no complaints.
A competent rendition of the game that reminds me of the Windows XP version, it's just missing the shuffle button. Calming music, four background choices, and a handful of tile designs. I saw people complaining that it was possible to get games where it was impossible to win, but that's always been how this game plays in my experience. Win some, lose some. Definitely worth the .99c sale I picked this up during.
