This is a very nice game, i like the concept and the sheer amount of roguelike (also the flexible customization too), this kind of giving the vibe of Caves of Qud in some way. But one thing that i didnt like from this game is that it has no Android ports, its such a shame because for such lightweight turn based game, you could have made an android port since this is a turn based and completely playable with mouse click only. By making Android port the game will be more accesible to players, they dont have to open PC or console just to play this game, and they could play it anywhere whenever they wanted (on phone of course), without have to use additional app such as Steam Link or Moonlight, which sometime the connection or streaming quality is not reliable in some places, not accessible. Im asking for Android port is because i have damaged PC display (it cant render red color), and unable to replace it yet, so whenever i want to play a game, if there is red parts on the game, it doesnt get rendered at all (which usually its the important part such as Health, Damage Numbers, or Warning Texts). I tried using Steam Link, but also it didnt work that great, the conncetion is unreliable (cant even start streaming the game), Tried use Mobox to emulate wine on my phone, install Steam, and instal Mainframe Defenders, but the overhead and size taken just for setup is hella enormous (5GB for base Mobox environment setup and 200mb for the main game? wth??) I was planning to reverse engineer it myself in order to make native android port, for my use only, but i realized that i have no capability to do such thing, which mean there will be no android port :( So devs, if you read this, please consider to make an Android port, it will be very useful and major update of this game, like i said before, its a turn based game and playable by mouse click, so i already can see how good it turns to be if you willing to make the android port.
If you're considering this game because you like tactical squad games like XCOM or Into The Breach, this one is probably worth a try. None of the mechanics are particularly deep or emergent, but they all work well with each other, and learning how to cobble together optimal builds so they become essentially unkillable or do 100 damage per turn or apply every status effect under the sun is pretty fun. At 60-ish hours it feels like I've "completed" the game and that there's not really any very interesting new ideas to try, which is a pretty good deal for a $6 game. If you're considering this game based on its aesthetics, pretty much all of them are pulled directly from the 2017 roguelike Cogmind. The purple splats of Matter on the ground, the names of certain enemy units, the green terminal aesthetic, etc. are all the same, and in my opinion Cogmind does them better. That being said, if you don't want to spend days of your life being overwhelmed by one billion game mechanics, Mainframe Defenders is the far superior option. Of the two, this one is the rogue-like experience you want if you prefer the '-Like' part of that term more than the 'Rogue'. 8/10, I love you Vulcan B pls respond.
A lot of fun! For a roguelike nothing feels unfair/unfun even at higher difficulties. Honestly I rather enjoy how difficulty is handled, literally just how much damage gets done to you and stronger enemy types. Which means you can get used to how to tackle certain enemies and deal with the status effects they inflict on you on an easier difficulty. A really fun aspect of the game is the weapons and builds you can try to do. When things finally clicked that most guns suck until you build around their downsides it then quickly goes into having having overpowered weaponry and mowing things down. All that is to say the beginning of a run is the most difficult and gets easier as the run goes on. Super fun imo.
didnt play this for a while since it seemed like it would be a lot of work to learn, but its actually not too hard to figure out and is a really fun game once you do. complicated enough that i have to think, simple enough that i dont get a headache. my only real wish is that there were more mission types, as it gets repetitive really fast with most missions being mostly the same, but besides that its great

Каждый из четырех существ набранных вами в отряд имеет четыре модуля под снаряжение , которые предстоит найти и собрать в нужные комбинации по пути ошибаясь и делая ерунду , есть четыре модуля на команду . Удобный интерфейс где видно все и сразу , модификаторы на существах , показатели очков действий и передвежиний , модули влияющие на команду . Играть невероятно удобно и приятно , правда сложность была явно не под меня на нормальной мне так намяли бока без понимания игры и я прошел игру лишь на легкой . получив свою долю удовольствия . Неприятно что многие существа не открыти для доступа в команду и будут постепенно в нее входить как вы наберете нужно количество очков после завершения миссии . такая же беда и с модулями вам нужно выкупить еще порядка 60 штук за 120-200 научного материала каждую иначе в магазине после окончания вашего забега , задолбала метапрогрессия такого плана. Но если вы хотите насладиться атмосферой , пройдя игру один раз , то на это можно закрыть глаза и играть в свою удовольствие двигая фигурку по игровому полю.
