Maneater is one of those games that fully understands what it is — dumb, chaotic fun with a surprisingly sharp sense of humor. You’re literally a shark eating your way through an entire ecosystem, and the game never pretends to be anything deeper than that… except when the narrator starts roasting humanity, reality TV, and occasionally you in the most deadpan way possible. The commentary is honestly one of the best parts. It feels like you’re playing through a nature documentary hosted by someone who’s had just a little too much fun writing the script. Every time you evolve into some new ridiculous shark form, the narrator drops another perfectly timed joke that makes the whole thing feel like a parody of every wildlife show you’ve ever seen. Gameplay-wise, it’s simple but satisfying. You swim, you chomp, you cause chaos, and it’s all wrapped in this bright, over-the-top world that never takes itself seriously. It’s the kind of game you play when you just want to turn your brain off and enjoy pure, silly entertainment. If you’re looking for something deep and complex, this isn’t it. But if you want a game where you can be a mutant shark with electric powers while a sarcastic narrator comments on your life choices, Maneater absolutely delivers.

Really fun so far, and well worth the $3 I paid. If you're having issues launching this fixed it for me. Right click on the game in you library. Go to Properties. Click on general. Paste this in launch options. cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

IF at sale - positive and buy IF for full price - negative and avoid PROS + most of the time it is alot of fun + unique gameplay + unique story + amazing and fun narator + non-missable achievements (easy and fun 100%) CONS - Camera and controls can be atrotious at times, which make hectic situations and bossess extreamly frustrating when your shark moves and shoots in some stupid unwanted way, or when your camera dosnt look in the direction you want - While technically the different shark evolutions can be mixed together, in practice, if you dont use specific full sets for the right type of content, the game will become much harder and slower (it will drag on travel time, it will drag on fights, etc). This is most visible during the early game where the game drags on because you dont yet have the correct sets unlocked, and so you move slow, and the fights are hard and long. - multiple Unreal Engine crashes NEUTRAL ° reasonably short ° DLC is signifficantly harder, so full clear of the base game is near required
