Open World / Exploration Port Clovis has seven regions to explore, including swamps, beaches, industrial areas, and the open ocean. Swimming around freely, discovering hidden locations, and hunting different creatures is enjoyable. (pun intended) The entire time playing this game I thought it was pretty decent for a 2015/16 era game, but only now I realize that this game was made in 2021! The game isn't bad, but you will not get your money's worth out of it if you buy it full price! PORS: - The writing and voice acting is brilliantly funny! - Visuals are mostly just "decent" but the underwater landscapes are BEAUTIFUL! - Sound effects are very visceral and enjoyable, making you feel like a Maneater! CONS: - The whole game plays more like a "Collectathon", which isn't bad, but it got really repetitive halfway through. - Crashes and stutters are very frequent! - The upgrade system with Evolutions and Mutations is super lackluster and boring. - The DLC is just more of what you did in the base game. But it feels like most of it was just cut content that got repackaged to make a quick buck! TL;DR Only buy on sale for like 9 Bucks MAX! Very beautiful underwater world with good sound design. Prepare for crashes and stutters galore!
