Well 90min in and requested a refund (which steam rounds up to 2Hrs play time). Game has a retro soundtrack, levelling system. Its alright. The scope of the game seems very focus on a small scale...imagine being zoom into a football field view with the idea of laying down towers and having Kaijus invading....maybe progress later in the waves increases the land view and plot points to build. Not sure if that is in the later game. Good theme and concept however.

All the crying about its to hard this to hard that. beat the game on Hard no issues years ago and just came back and did it again still no issues. Only issue is the "to be continued" and still no updates or second game.

I was looking for a more classic Tower Defense game which has simple graphics and shines through its game play and it seems I have found a real gem among this genre. I was hesitant to buy this game at first, since there are a couple of (negative) reviews that give the impression that this game has quite some problems to it and is not worth it's money.. Good that I did not listen too closely to it, since this game is FUN. There is so much positive to say about this game that I really do wonder what made some players so upset about it. Yes, there are typos. Yes, the difficulty is challenging (even on easy). Yes, the story is (as expected/wanted) really bland. But if thats the only criticism this game has to take than its a solid 9/10 What really makes this a great (TD) game: - feels super engaging - multi dimensional level of game play at the same time (Controling the main mech, building towers and defense, giving commands to other mechs, using super weapons) - ..while not being overwhelming at the same time (everything feels super managable and doesnt reguire insane APM or something) - you can explore and chose your own upgrade path to enhance your abilities/options - you can chose and upgrades your team - you can upgrade your own mech (Odin) Gameplaywise this feels a bit like a mix between a RTS and a TD game, giving ypu really the best of both worlds. Its been a long time since I had so much fun with an innovative take on a classic genre (maybe since Plants VS Zombies). I highly recommend this game.

I'm not going to lie, this game has its problems- it's buggy, the balance is questionable at best, the script can best be described as one big typo, there's one late optional mission that is virtually impossible due to a bug (except that it automatically cleared itself after I failed it enough times, somehow)... but ultimately, the core gameplay is so much fun the aforementioned problems hardly mattered to me. Recommended, but know what you're getting into.

Mech v Kaijus is a challenging game where you pretty much have to defend the left side of the screen from increasing waves of monsters coming from the right. This game does a really good job making you feel like you are the last line of defense. It´s a great game to just relax and zone out as you play it while trying out different strategies. It´s important to call down the right units/structures and doing so has a smooth feeling. I enjoy this game a lot and recommend for anybody that likes strategy/tower defense style games.
