Excellent game! Has significantly improved from initial release to the current version! If I could change one thing about this game, it would be that the mechs would move, but this is a tower defense game so I get that they're not meant to move. Can't wait for the sequel!

This is a good game. The makers put a ton of soul into. Mid way through you also realize they push the 'normal' bounds of their system in all directions (as good designers should!). What do I mean? First you get Plant vs Zombie lanes, then suddenly you scroll the screen right, then suddenly attacked by both sides...then suddenly your approaching them, and some your just defending on time. That kind of variety keeps it fresh, and it's not just another weapon or something it's a shift to very core of the gameplay and it feels great. Where I think it could improve: -The tech tree is pretty static as so is the MECH upgrade tree, I don't know if I would want to replay this a dozen times like say Spelunky, FTL or Slay the Spire. So it's just missing that last little bit to make this a true classic. -There's a 'feature' where you can sell walls for 90% of their value just before they get destroyed, this turns out to be a very critical 'skill' later in difficult levels, but it's not one I enjoy. I'd rather the game not build around this. But don't let those stop you from trying this game. Give it a shot!

If you enjoy Tower Defense games with a small narrative experience, unlockables, mechs and kaijus to squash then this is a must have for your Steam library. POSITIVES ========================================================================================= - Support an Indie Dev that made a fully playable game with passion, love and care. - A nice narrative experience to enjoy while you play. - A good gameplay loop with difficulty modifiers. - Towers lots of them! (Some critiscism in the negatives.) - Companion mechs to unlock and upgrade along side your main mech. - Branching research tree to upgrade towers and abilities. - Lots of maps with different mechanics to keep things fresh while you play. - Additional game modes to play after completing the narrative experience. - Pixel graphics and unique sprites that keep you immersed in the world. - Optional hardcore mode for those that master the game mechanics and want a playthrough with a challenge. Negatives/Critiques (These are given with the intent to inform buyers and offer feedback to the dev) ========================================================================================= - Towers feel a unbalanced. After your first playthrough you learn to rely on a handful of towers because the others aren't as useful/versatile. - Some UI bugs might stop you from moving your mechs at inopportune times and can kill you run on a mission or survival mode. - Typos here and there but nothing that breaks immersion. - Make sure you exit the end mission screen because then game continues to play and your mechs will be destroyed by any remaining Kaijus if you leave the end screen running to go eat dinner or run off for a bathroom break.

Its glorious hold-the-line intense action. I like having to unlock tech-tree stuff to create "builds" to beat the levels. Its like a puzzle that wants to drown you in monster claws.
