Memories of a Vagabond is a turn-based RPG with a unique twist: when your character dies, their soul is sent to the underworld, where you can choose a new body and class (Warrior, Assassin, Mage, etc.). It combines classic RPG elements like treasure hunting, crafting, and a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of *Chrono Trigger* or *Final Fantasy*. The story is dark, mysterious, and constantly evolving, offering a solid adventure for fans of old-school RPGs. It’s perfect for players looking for high replayability and creative class mechanics.

BLUF: For 50¢, I would recommend this game. But why...? Let me just start by saying I'm gonna get the ugly parts out of the way first. This game's writing is lousy, the dialogue is wooden and characters feel more like setpieces than people. Not to mention this game's sense of space is just wonky, with environments stitched together more by rule of JRPG convention than actual narrative progression. So then why did I say I would recommend this game after trashing the narrative of a narrative RPG? To you I say, "crunch my friend, crunch". The combat system was simple and intuitive (if you have played JRPG’s) and most importantly fun. Battles were a nailbiter, if maybe a bit on the difficult side, and I found myself having to think strategically about whether to engage with enemies similar to Chrono Trigger. I will continue to play a bit more of this, maybe even more on stream. (This game was featured on 50¢ Roulette) -HimboEgineeringCo

Relatively good and refreshingly short JRPG, in which your hero, just revived from death at the hands of a gruesome demon, must set out on a quest to save his fiancée from the selfsame demon. The game is easy to play and suitable for beginners in this genre, combat system is pretty straightforward and there is almost no grinding (unless you really want to buy that house that you absolutely don’t need for 10,000 bucks), and the environment is varied and richly decorated, pleasing to look at. On the downside, the story is pretty much cut short and there are no achievements. But overall, I was satisfied with this game and can recommend it to JRPG collectors.
