I haven't been able to play this game in forever since this game is heavy on CPU usage, I think it's good but honestly Tremulous and Unvanquished does the same concept except way better (for starters, there isn't a commander system and multiple people can take on building structures), only issue with both though is that barely any people play Trem or Unvq so Natural Selection 2 might still be pleasing to some people, 100+ people still play this game daily as per SteamDB. NS2 is 5 euros and goes on sale for 1 euro, if you like multiplayer shooter games I'd suggest to give this a try
8/10 with 5 being passing its very fun im praying for ns3 since subnautica namedropped the kharaa. while some players are toxic, theyre mostly drunken idiots who are trying to relive the glorydays of this old game so they cant really ragebait me. most players are happy for the resurgence from subnautica 2. my only issue is that getting into the servers is a pain. theres only two types of servers, those that are completely empty and those that are full. theres only ~80 players left and theyre not evenly spread out so you have to pray they have an open slot for you.
It's been well over a decade since I last played this, so going into it I didn't remember anything about this game. I was surprised to see multiple servers with full capacity. Ended up joining a random lobby and played for the marines. For the other team (Aliens) they had this one guy bhopping around the map and killing everyone on my team. It was funny to watch and honestly I enjoyed this game. If you can get a group of friends together, This would be solid fun.
