I like modding 2k to make it as realistic as possible and playing myleague, other than that I wont touch anything else.

Im an offline player (Mycareer NBA. MyNBA and Myteam Domination) so take it with a pinch of salt. But this is actually a good 2k, after years of crap releases this ones actually not too bad. Give it a try when it goes on a massive sale if your skeptical but if you wanna run 2k, don't hesitate. MyCareer story was pretty sick. Vc prices still whack as hell but i never buy it anyways. It doesnt cost as much per upgrade. For example in 25 to upgrade my 3pt it would cost 1,500 to get from 72-73 3pt but this year it stays consistent around 600-700 per upgrade until the very high overalls No need to talk about gameplay cause its solid and any issues with passing lanes and missing contested shots just shows your bad at the game brev

Update: DO NOT BUY: Following a patch on 9/18-9/30 going on 13 days the game is unplayable on PC. I was updating the day counter everyday but I'm done. Just assume the game was never fixed. Game has horrendous performance stability and with this being a timing game you can see the issue. If the game doesn't crash you will be getting between 20-40 fps. The time was taken to attempt to balance tall builds on 9/21 that did not address the issue of patch on 9/18 breaking the game.I cannot recommend this game in it's current state. You work hard for your money and you deserve to have it respected. 2K has yet to acknowledge the issue publicly. This is a review from a mostly solo player that occasionally may play online. I feel this is the best year for a solo player. With the NBA career, Street Kings & Open Court Athletics modes you can fully enjoy playing solo. With all the game modes you have plenty of options to obtain VC while having fun. What you choose to spend your VC on is on you. The game does need some optimization and more balancing for build diversity. It does feel they put effort into this game and not just a new name on the previous year. Pro-Am is fun but can sometimes take minutes to get teammates. I wish teammate grade were more tied to level progression because if you're playing solo a player will sell you and go 1/13 and only start passing after halftime when it's obvious they're the reason the team is losing. Season rewards are fun to work towards. The events seem cool if you can attend for multiple reasons. All in all good game. p.s. all 7+ foot players should be very prone to getting their ankles broken often to help balance their dominance.

Horrible micro transaction practice. $70 for the game,$100 for early access plus an additional $50 if you want to take your my player to a 85 overall,which most do because the grind for alot isn't worth not paying. for most people i would not suggest this game on that alone but for myself i am a basketball junkie and basically only play my career. love the story this year,gameplay changes are great. shooting is way too easy though imo but i would take it any day over rng that we previously had. Reason im rating this positive is because this review is my experience and im tailoring it off of that. its a great basketball sim,great gameplay but its not a game i would recommend to the average basketball fan that just wants to play a bit. wait for a deep discount.
